Ripples

George walks through the long hall into Dream's room. Dream sits, motionless on his bed.

"Is everything okay, Dream?" Dream gives a quiet giggle.

"Oh, I am fine. I couldn't sleep and wanted company. I am assuming Sapnap will be sleeping for a while, so do you want to do something?" Dream shakes the keys of Sapnap's car, making a loud rattle.

"Yeah, sure. Where do you want to go?" George sits down next to Dream on his bed.

"I have something in mind." Dream shoots a mysterious smirk at George.

George places the note for Sapnap on the kitchen counter. Dream wrote a note for Sapnap to let him know where they were when he woke up, but Dream asked for George not to read it.

George gets into the passenger seat of the car and grabs the seatbelt. The warm metal piece of the seatbelt burns his hand. He clenches his fist and let's out a silent whine.

"Be careful, it's hot." Dream tells George while turning on the car.

"Yeah, thanks for the heads up." George rolls his eyes. Dream picks his hand up off the steering wheel and places it on George's wrist. He holds up George's hand close to his face.

"Might need surgery on this one." Dream laughs at his own joke.

"I don't need your sarcasm Dream, thanks." George pulls his arm back from Dreams grasp. "Can we just get going?"

"Whatever you say, George." Dream puts his attention back on driving. He pulls out of the parking garage and starts on the road. George grabs the aux cord and plugs it into his phone. "Heat waves" by Glass Animals starts blasting through the speakers.

"Really, George?" Dream wheezes in between his words. George looks out the window and bursts into a loud laughter.

"Sorry, it's just in my playlist." George shyly says.

Dream pulls over along side the road. He throws on his backpack that was sitting in the back seat and gets out and opens George's door for him. He gives a hand motion signaling that they have arrived at the secret location.

"This is where I used to come as a kid all of the time.  It is really special to me." Dream winks at George. George shakes his head.

"Just looks like a bunch of trees to me." George says, stating the obvious.

"Just come with me." Dream grabs a hold of George's hand and pulls him into the mess of trees. George runs his finger along Dream's hand as Dream pulls him along.

"Here is is." Dream gives a reassuring smile.

George looks to the gorgeous pool of water that sits in front of him. Little ripples flow through the water, making it look alive. Dream takes off his shoes and dips his feet into the water. George does the same.

"The water is so cold. It is ninety degrees outside, why is this water like fifty?" George shivers.

"It's covered in shade and trees, so it's going to be cold. Come close to me." George raises a brow by follows Dreams order. Dream leans his body towards George and places his hands on his shoulders. Dreams smiles at George and violently pushes him into the water. George stands up and runs back to the shore.

"Dream! What the hell!" George's shiver intensifies. Dream dives into the deep area of the water hole. He comes up for air and swoops his messy hair out of his eyes.

"Come on, George. Let's have some fun." Dream waves George over and George reluctantly drags his feet back into the water. He takes a deep breath and dives into the water alongside Dream.

They decide to head home after swimming around for about an hour. George's lips were a dark shade of purple.

"Take this. you need it more than I do." Dream throws a large sweatshirt over to George and he throws it on over his wet body. "You look better in it than I do anyways."
