The car ride was long and silent. They were both exhausted from the lack of sleep. George would occasionally look over at Dream and catch him looking his way.

They finally pull into the parking lot of the airport. George grabs his bags from the back of Dream's car and they both drag their feet into the large building. They sat in the chairs, waiting for George's plane to start boarding.

It was finally time for George to leave. His plane was now boarding. He sighs, looking at his feet. He can feel Dream's eyes burning a hole in his face. He finally looks up to meet Dream's eyes, and for the first time ever, that's all that they were, eyes. He didn't see the moon, or the stars, or the whole galaxy like he had before. Just eyes.

"Goodbye, Dream."

"Goodbye, George. Until next time." Dream gives a weak smile. He then pulls George into a tight hug. It caught George off guard but he let himself fall into Dream's arms. They stand there, holding each other for what felt like forever.

"I should go, Dream. I don't want to miss my plane."

"I am going to miss you, George."

"It's not like we are never going to talk again. You're being overly dramatic." Dream cocks his head and his eyebrows raise in a confused manner.

"What happened to you? Yesterday you were dreading leaving because you 'wouldn't get to hear my voice' anymore and now you're saying I am the one being dramatic?"

"Yeah, well, I guess you could say that a lot happened yesterday," George says, glaring at Dream.

"George-"

"Whatever, I have to get on the plane." George walks off towards the gate, leaving Dream standing there.

This was the longest 16 hours of George's life, ever. He didn't sleep at all. He couldn't sleep at all. His plane had gotten delayed at one of the stops. He felt awful for how the trip ended but Dream had brought it on himself.

As George got off the plane and turned his phone off of airplane mode, his phone endlessly started to ping. He checked his phone to see multiple text messages from Dream.

"Text me when you get off of the plane?"

"George?"

"I am worried, George."

"Hello?"

"Can we please talk?"

"Are you ignoring me?"

"Please, George."

"I swear, George."

"I am fine, Dream. My plane got delayed at one of the stops. Call you when I get home." George replies.

As soon as George got home, he lays his bags on his bed and flops onto his bed. He immediately falls asleep.

He wakes up, still feeling tired. He remembers that he promised Dream that he would call him and grabs his phone.

4 missed calls from Dream

Great. He thought to himself. He clicks on Dream's contact and calls him.

"Hey, Dream."

"Dude, where were you?" He says in a concerned tone.

"Sleeping, sorry. Why did you want to talk?"

"I didn't like how we ended things. I just feel awful how I poured all that on you and-"

"Dream, it's fine. I shouldn't have snapped at you like that at the airport. We are friends. We always will be," George says, cutting Dream off.

"Best friends," Dream adds.

"Best friends," George agrees. "I want you to always remember that if you change your mind about how you feel though, I will be here. Only if you are completely sure that you have feelings for me this time though."

"I'll keep that in mind."
