"George, I missed you."

He was back. He managed to get back to the dream. He realized no matter how hard he tries, the dream is always going to haunt him. He rubs his hands violently over his eyes.

"Tell me Dream. Why do I keep coming back here? Why do you keep coming back here?" George whimpers.

"You tell me George. Why do you want to keep coming back?"

"I don't. I tried so hard to not come back."

"You're lying George."

"Lying? Why would I lie? You aren't even real." George snaps. He looks up. He glances at the same sky he had seen many times in his dreams. Still, a full moon. The stars were different though. They were heavily speckled across the dark, clear terrestrial.

"Why do you like the moon and stars, George?"

"I don't know. They're pretty I guess." George replies

"I know your thoughts, George. You like the moon because it makes you feel connected to everyone. You see the same moon as everyone else, no matter how far away they are. For example, in Florida." George shifts his eyes to Dream's mask. It was covered in grass stains, like it had been laying in the wet grass. Out of habit, he tries to wipe the stains off of Dream's mask. Nothing happens though. "You like the stars, because they make you feel relaxed when you're stressed. Looking at the dark sky flushes out all the thoughts from your mind. In an world of ever increasing pace, stargazing helps you live in present, rather than dwell in all the bad from the past." George shivers from the cold wind, but also from how accurate Dream's analogy was.

"Why do I keep coming back here, Dream? Why do you keep coming back?" George shyly repeats.

"This dream is your moon and stars, George. It makes you feel connected, to me, just like the moon does. Talking to me comforts you, just like the stars, am I right, George?"

"I guess so." George says, dumbfounded. He isn't a very open person. He tends to keep his feelings to himself due to trust issues. "I just want to meet the real you"

"And tell me how you feel?"

"You know I can't do that" George looks down and twirls a piece of grass in his fingers. He cuts his finger on the sharp blade and wipes the blood off on his shirt.

He jerks awake and looks at the clock

1:14 pm

He looks at his finger, no cut, but still sore. George pulls out his phone and texts Dream.

"Wake up sleepy head. Let's play"

"I'm awake. Didn't sleep well last night." Dream replies.

"Me neither, bad dream"

"Calling you on Discord rn"

"Alright" George takes a deep breath, feeling anxious.

"Hey Dream" George says extending the "m" on Dream.

"Hey George. Have you started the stream yet?"

"Not yet. Be patient." George jokes.

*Time skip*

"Well, I'm gonna get off guys, thanks for watching" George says, waving to the camera. "So, Dream, Why couldn't you sleep last night?"

"Just a bit stressed out from all the speed running stuff. With people thinking I cheated, and stuff. I've been getting a lot of hate recently."

"You know what always helps me calm down?" George says

"What? I'm desperate." Dream laughs

"Looking at the stars."
