Lauren's POV:

Life can never treat me well, right? When I finally feel content, when I have everything back for once, this happens.

I immediately noticed the voice of my mother, and I stepped back from my girlfriend to take a good look at the car. Yup, that's my parents'.

"Yes mom?" I answered. From the corner of my eye I saw Camila taking a sharp breath, and I really wanted to comfort her but I knew that if I did that my mother would throw us both out.

"What are you doing here?" She screamed angrily, getting out of the car. My dad walked behind her, a blank expression on his face.

"I just came home from a outing with friends. Mom, dad, this is Camila." I introduced my girlfriend. They didn't have to know that last part, though.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Jauregui." She said politely, holding her hand out for them to shake. Clara eyed her, but didn't shook her hand. My dad did, apologizing for his wife's behaviour through his eyes. Camila nodded, and I turned my attention back to the woman in front of me.

"Just some friends?" She asked, a devilish look in her eyes. I nodded.

"Yes, just some friends." I answered.

"Hmm. And is it normal for you to kiss your friends?" She asked angrily. Before I could answer, she spoke again. "What about Brad? That lovely boy is dating a cheater. I did not rais my child as a cheater, or a...a lesbian." She said with horror in her voice, as if it was a decease I had.

I felt the tears coming up, but right now I needed to be strong.

"I'm not a cheater. Brad was fake so you wouldn't be up my ass about dating a girl. I'm sorry, but this is my girlfriend Camila." I spoke, tears threatening to spill. The next thing I know, I felt a sharp sting on my cheek.

Clara spoke with finality. "No.Child.Of.Mine.Is.Gay."

I released a loud sob, and Camila immediately came to comfort me. Clara moved back to the car, while Micheal stood still.

"Mike! Come. I'm sure she can spend the night at her 'girlfriends' place." She said, rolling her eyes at 'girlfriend'. Camila took a sharp breath, but chose not to comment. Mike, however, stayed on the exact same place, looking at me, and back to Clara.

"No." He said shortly. Three shocked pair of eyes looked at him.

"No, Clara. I will not kick out my third child. My second daughter. I won't do such thing. This has gone way too far." He took a deep breath, holding his hand out so no one would interrupt him.

"She had to pretend to date a boy so you wouldn't be mad for god's sake! When do you feel like it's enough? When we kicked her out of our house? We haven't seen Taylor in four years. We've seen Chris one time in eight. And now you wanna throw our last child away too?!" He screamed desperate.

I couldn't help but feel a new wave of fresh tears coming up. It took him almost my entire highschool to get to this point, but right now I couldn't be more grateful for my father. Mike turned to me.

"Look, Lauren. I'm sorry. I know I haven't been the best dad. You could call me one of the worst, actually. But unless you want to go, please stay home." He pleaded.

I walked over him, hiding my face in his neck while he put his strong arms around me. I murmered 'thank you's' in his skin. He just hugged me back strongly.

I knew Camila must've felt extremely awkward, watching me reuniting with my father over the same issue her mother and father had let her down. I turned to look at her, and I immediately noticed the tears in her eyes.
