Lauren POV

"Lauren!" I groaned in response. My door opened and my mom stood there. Well, she isn't much of a mom. "Lauren Michelle Jauregui Morgado! Get your sick ass out of bed this instant!" She screamed in my ear. I didn't say anything but got out of bed and put on some clothes. I didn't really care about my appearence. No one really cared so why would I?

"Lauren your father and I will be gone for the next two months. I asked some good friends of ours to watch you. They have a son your age." My mom said as I prepared myself some breakfest. "Do I really need some babysitters?" I asked, a bit sad that they didn't even trust me in my own house. "They're not babysitters Lauren, now be gratefull we didn't bring you to them to live there." I opened my mouth but my mom beat me to it. "No more words."

I decided it would be better to just keep my mouth shut. My phone buzzed, so I went and look for the text of Dinah. No one else has my number. But it wasn't Dinah, it was a unknown number.

"Hi, Brad here. I'm sure your parents told you about me. My parents are not that bad, and we won't watch you everyday, so you don't have to worry much. Will I see you at school?"

I looked stunned. When, and how, did he get my number? I replied fast.

"Hi, I'm Lauren but you already knew that. I dont know how you look like and I'm pretty sure you don't want to be seen with me."

"I know who you are. I don't care. I'll just find you, don't worry:)"

I didn't reply. I'm sure he just says stuff like that. Brad is pretty well known in our school, he's on the soccer team. Miami high has never had a better keeper. Girls are all over him, but I'm not quite into that. I looked at my phone and saw that is was already 7.34. Shit I'm late.

---------------------------------------------------------

"Hi Ralph, how've you been?" Dinah stood next to my locker, leaning against some freshmans. "Well Dj, I'm sure you know Brad Simpson?" She looked a bit scared. "Yeahh? Why? Did he do something to you?" She asked protective. "No, no, nothing bad happend." I quickly assured her. "It's just that my parents are going out of town again and his parents are going to watch me from time to time. He texted me this morning." "He what? Brad Simpson texted you? And he didn't insulted you?" I played hurt and put my hand on my heart. "Why, can't some people like me?"

Before she could anwser, a male voice behind me said: "I like you, you're cool." I turned around and saw Brad standing with a single rose. "You want to go out sometimes Lauren?" I froze. Hold up. Didn't he say he didn't mind me being gay? Why is he asking me out? Is he even asking ME out? He did say Lauren.

Apparently I zoned out 'cause Dinah slapped me on my arm. "Ow!" "Oh look, she can speak." She said sarcastic. "Anwser the guy." I looked up and saw Brad standing in the exact same spot. "Sooo?" He seemed...nervous? "Brad can we talk privatly?" I asked, a bit scared of his reaction, and I don't want another public embarrassment. "Sure." He followed me.

"Soo...I guess no date?" "Brad you're probably very nice, but I'm gay. I thought everyone knew that." He looked akward. "Are you? Your mom said it was just a stupid joke." Ofcourse she did. She immediatly started freaking out when I said I had feelings for a girl. She said that if I ever said something like that again, she would kick me out. I probably looked very pissed, 'cause Brad backed away a bit and said: "Look, I don't judge, I really don't care who you like or not. I just thought you were very pretty." I blushed. "I'm really sorry, but I'm not into you." I quickly replied.

Brad seemed to think for a minute before his face lit up. "Spill it, you're scaring me." I jokingly said. "Look, what if we dated?" "Dude, didn't you hear me?" "No, not like that. I mean just for your parents. If they think you dated a guy, not to mention that your parents love mine, maybe they wouldn't give you a extremely bad time while you're home." I thought about his idea. It wasn't a bad idea, but I don't know how far I could go in such an act.
