Under the moonlight (Camren)

I quickly dialed Camila's number, smiling as she picked up. That smile was immediatly washed of my face when I heard a voice screaming in the background.

"Karla! Come here! Now!" 

I listened intently to the conversation Camila and a man, I assume, were having.

"No, you kicked me out, leave me alone!" She screamed. I quickly recorded the conversation. I had a feeling we would need it. 

"Shut up Karla! You are a sinner, I can cure you! No daughter of mine is gay, and you will not live your live like this. I will take you with me and you will go to St. Seamus school for problamatic children, and that's it!" Camila's dad threathend. I was staying quiet, not wanting to anger the man more. 

I texted Mani, and she replied in an instant. 

To mani: Hi, is Camz with you?

From mani: No, she went to the park to think, why?

To mani: I think her dad is with her, I called her and she picked up but he's screaming and threathening her

From mani: meet me there

I sprinted to my car, the conversation between Camila and her dad on the background. Chris joined me and we speeded off to the park. 

I've never drove that fast, but this was a special occasion and Camila might needed me, so I wouldn't want to take any risks. We were at the park in less than five minutes, seeing the two people arguing near the swings. 

I jumped out of the car, Chris right behind me, and I ran to the brunette. I ended the call, but kept recording. 

"-You're still my daughter and you're underage, so you need to do as I say!" He yelled as he hit her. That's when Chris jumped in, holding the man back. 

"Hey! I need you to calm down sir." He said firmly, with a grown man squirming in his arms. 

I held Camila as she cried, noticing how she was holding her stomach. I didn't say anything, and let Chris do the talking. Mani came a few minutes later, police showing up not a minute later. 

The man saw the cars, and made a quick move, taking Chris completely by suprise. He ran away, but not before threathening Camila once again to take her away. A few police officers took after him, the rest stayed with the four of us. 

A kind looking officer stepped up to us. 

"Hello, my name is officer Edwards, and this is my partner officer Thirlwall. Can you tell me who called?" The blonde said. Mani raised her hand, and she went with her. Officer Thirlwall stayed with us. 

"So, what happened?" She asked. I looked at Camila, but she wasn't in a position to talk, so I started with what I knew. 

"Well, about two months back, Camila here-" I said pointing to the girl in my arms "- was kicked out of her house, her parents not accepting her being gay. She lived with me, since my parents weren't home. They had come home yesterday, and they aren't very open minded, so she stayed with Normani, that girl over there." I said pointing to the chocolate skinned girl.

"Today, after school, I found out that my parents had left again to go on a trip, so I called her to say she could come home again." I said, and I sweared I felt Camila relax. 

"I called her and she picked up, but she sounded distant and I heard her arguing with a man. At one point he screamed something about taking her to a place to 'cure' her." I said with a scoff. "That's how I knew it was her dad."
