Froststar was comfortably sharing prey with her mate, Patchheart. A few moons before that, she have announced that Patchheart was her mate.

Honeyfrost's kits will begin training in 2 moons, which means more warriors for ThunderClan, but their father, Emberstorm, left the Clan and no cat knows when he will be back.

"You need to stop stuffing yourself in freshkill," Patchheart teased. "You are getting plump."

"But I haven't been eating that much," she protested, confused.

"I advise you to see Stagwind," he mewed. "Leaf-fall is no time to be sick." Froststar nodded and walked towards the medicine cat den.

Sunstream was sorting herbs while Stagwind was pulling out a thorn from Rockpelt's paw.

When she was done, she turned to Froststar. "Need anything?"

"Why am I getting plump?" she asked.

Stagwind narrowed her eyes and mewed, "You are expecting kits. For two moons in fact. Haven't you noticed?"

Froststar widened her eyes in shock. "I have been expecting kits? No wonder I am more clumsy these days."

Stagwind twitched her eye in amusement. "Better tell an eager tom," she purred. "He has been waiting for this."

Froststar nodded and headed back to where Patchheart was siting. "So," he mewed, "what did she say?"

"I am expecting kits!" she mewed in excitement.

Patchheart nearly choked onto his freshkill. "That's great!" he mewed. "I always wanted kits of my own."

"Me too," Froststar mewed.

Suddenly, she felt a searing pain in her belly. Patchheart stared at her in concern and she immediately knew what was happening.

"My kits are coming!"

A black and gray tom was walking around the Dark Forest angrily. He couldn't believe that he was defeated, after claiming to be the best.

"I will be the ruler of the Dark Forest," he growled to himself, unaware of a dark brown tabby tom behind him.

"Really?" the dark brown tabby tom snorted. "I am the ruler, and you are nothing but a weak little Clan cat, Longdrop."

Longdrop dropped into a crouch and he growled, "What to test it?"

"Go ahead," the dark brown tom invited.

He pounced but immediately fell into empty ground. "Coward!" he snarled, swiping at the tom.

The tom casually twisted and quickly raked his claws on Longdrop's pelt. He yowled in pain as blood flowed out rapidly, staining the ground with a tiny pool.

The dark brown tom lifted up his paw admiringly. "My claws are sharper than you think. One simpe swipe and I could send you flying, or bleeding to death."

Longdrop glared at him as he continued, "You are weak. You don't deserve to be a leader. Now, get out of my sight before I vanish you."

When Longdrop hesitated, he growled, "Now!"

The black and gray tom ran off. He never met such a deadly cat and he wanted to stay alive to plan for revenge.

He spotted a dark gray tabby tom, sitting by a mucky river. He walked towards him and asked, "Would you like to join me to defeat the Clans?"

The tom turned to face him, with his claws out. "You are a fool!" he snarled. "Asking us to fight in a useless battle! You may have many on your side, but when you lose..."

The dark gray tom crushed a branch as he spoke. "They will destroy you. You want revenge, but do you think StarClan will stand there and watch? Your plans have led you to where you are now, in the Dark Forest! You better beware, some don't like to be disturbed."

The dark gray tabby tom stalked off and disappeared soon after.

Good riddance! he thought angrily.

"I am disappointed in you," a she-cat's voice mewed to him. The tom turned to look at the she-cat and growled, "You should be proud!"

"Firstly, you betrayed everyone," the flame coloured she-cat mewed calmly. "Even the ones who helped you, who are your kin!"

"I will destroy the Clans," he snarled in reply. "You mean nothing to me, the Clans mean nothing to me either!"

"What you did," she mewed, "lands you in the place where you deserve. You will not succeed. If you are willing, to change, we will welcome you to StarClan."

"I will never agree," he snarled, but the she-cat was already gone.

My plans are great! he thought. I will show every cat that they are wrong, because I am right. I will make things right.
