Hailfall smiled. It have been six moons since that battle, and he and Bluewish became mates.

Bluewish was going to begin her kitting soon, he could tell by her strained face. "You will be okay," he purred.

"I know," she mewed, whispering a few words he couldn't catch. Hailfall dissmissed it, he should feel happy for his mate.

"My kits are coming," Bluewish whispered, almost collapsing on the ground.

"Stagwind!" Hailfall called out. "Bluewish is kitting!"

Sunstream appeared first, with a bunch of funnel in her jaws.

Stagwind followed closely with a stick.

Bluewish was in too much pain to move. "Help..." she begged, her voice barely heard.

"What's wrong with my mate?" Hailfall cried, feeling panicky.

Stagwind's face was of higher concentration than usual, and Sunstream replied for her.

"She is kitting too early," Sunstream mewed, breathing in and out to keep calm. "It has affected her badly."

Hailfall's reply was drowned by Bluewish's screech of pain.

He rushed to Bluewish's side. "You will be fine," he mewed in panting gasps. "You and out kits will be fine. Please tell me that!"

"I won't," Bluewish mewed softly. "Take care of our... kit."

Hailfall widened his eyes in surprise. Kit?

Stagwind moved to show a small light gray and white she-kit, who looked so much like Froststar.

Breathing in shock, Hailfall came to comfort the helpless, wailing kit. "In honour of Froststar, Fernstorm and Bluewish, you will be known as..."

"Frostkit."
