Patchheart quickly rushed to the medicine cat den and Hailpaw followed closely behind.

When he saw that Fernpaw looked fine, he sighed in relief. Fernpaw looked up at him and asked in a quivering voice, "Where's Froststar?"

"She's dead," Patchheart replied slowly.

Fernpaw put her paws and her head and whispered, "Is it because of me?"

"No," Patchheart mewed gently. "No cat is at fault."

Fernpaw nodded and Stagwind ushered them out. "She had a tough ordeal, let her rest," the medicine cat explained.

Specklebreeze had kitted a few moments before Fernpaw's and Hailpaw's warrior ceremony.

It was a white tom and a light gray she-kit. She had named the tom Icekit after Icetail, while the she-kit is called Bluekit, probably after Bluewhisker, her mother.

As Fernpaw looked at the new kits wuth Specklebreeze licking them lovingly, Silverstar yowled, "Let all cats who are old enough to catch their own prey to gather at Highledge for a Clan meeting!"

When the Clan have gathered, Fernpaw and Hailpaw stepped forward excitedly.

"I, Silverstar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn," Silverstar announced strongly.

"Fernpaw, Hailpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" she asked.

"I do," Fernpaw replied.

"I do," Hailpaw mewed.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior names: Fernpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Fernstorm. StarClan honours your determination and loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan."

"Hailpaw, from this moment on, you will be known as Hailfall. StarClan honours your courage and eagerness, and we welcome you as a full warrior of ThunderClan."

"Fernstorm! Hailfall!" the Clan yowled.

But as the Clan cheered, they didn't notice a figure staring at the new warriors with an unreadable look.

"The prophecy has began," the mysterious cat whispered. "The final battle will await you."

~~~~
"It wasn't went to happen," a cat sighed to a light brown tabby she-cat.
"I was shocked too," she mewed.
"I have another solution," a brown tom mewed. "Although it's risky, it must be done. A life have been given up for another, and it must have one."
The first cat who spoke blinked at the brown tom in confusion. "I don't understand."
"We need to do some sort of re-" the brown tom was mewing, but was interupted by the light brown tabby she-cat.
"What? I wouldn't let it happen!" she mewed in shock.
"I am truly sorry, Flowerfeather," the brown tom dipped his head. "But for the sake of our kin, the Clans, their future, we need to do this."
Flowerfeather closed her eyes. "Maybe you are right," she whispered. "But why can't we stop everything, from the entire beginning? Oakblaze, please tell me."
Oakblaze sighed and looked at a shining pool. As Flowerfeather looked at the events flashed in the pool, she gasped in shock.
"That's why we can't change the past," Oakblaze mewed gently. "Allegiances would change, some benefits, but more terrible things would happen."
"So do you accept?" he asked.
"I do," she replied. "For the sake of the Clans we once served under."
There was a blinding light, and the StarClan cats were gone, leaving a limp body near the pool.
