Celeste Vita

“That fucking piece of shit! How, fucking dare, she just hang the motherfucking phone on me,” I slammed the phone down; it toppled over and fell off the table.

Now, what am I gonna do? Ughh. Whatever.

I looked at my laptop, pressing resume to continue watching ‘while you were sleeping’, and it closed.

So, I shoved the laptop off the table as well, letting out a scream.

Why is nothing going my way?

Looking down, I picked it up off the floor, slamming it down again; harder.

Then I stomped on it; repeatedly, ‘stupid, stupid, stupid laptop’.

Dray finally thought the laptop had had enough and pulled me away, “Calm down, Tessie,” he scolded. “damn,” he shook his head, letting out a chuckle as he made me sit on the bed.

When I did finally cool down after giving my laptop a glare, I let out a chuckle, all I could do was stare at the laptop that was completely smashed to pieces. I have issues.

I wanted to yell at him for telling me to calm down, because I was bored. But how can I yell at that face? Maybe I should tell him to turn around?

“Dad,” I yelled out as I laid on my bed.

“Coming,” he responded from downstairs.

“What happened this time, Celeste?” he asked, as he saw the broken laptop, laughing.

“I need to borrow your hammer, I’m going to go bash someone’s brains out,” I replied, nonchalantly as I shrugged.

If I’m being honest, I was being a tad bit dramatic. But he knows that, so it’s all good.

“Aha, not happening. Well, at least not till I know why,” he stated as he inspected the laptop… if it could be called that now. I really did a number on that object.

“I called Russ, to let him know that I was willing to overlook the fact that he was a complete asshat and work at the library,” I explained, rubbing my forehead; my head hurts now, it’s always hurting. “He wasn’t at work and some… thing called ‘Aria with a y’ said I can’t anymore, since she got the job. Russ didn’t even call to let me know. He had said I could tell him my answer by the end of the week. I took one day. The week just started, dad. This bitch, I’m gonna strangle him with his b… braces. Yeah, he has braces. I’ll shut up now,” I said, stopping myself from cussing in front of my dad, again. Pretending to zip my mouth, locking it, and throwing away the key.

“Oh, sweetheart, I know you wanted to work there, but look at the bright side. Now, you don’t have to work and you can enjoy the gap year,” he said and I just gave him a glare. I’m bored, man. Life is so boring.

“I’ll get you a new laptop, sweetheart. Next time you’re mad, try breaking something less valuable. I don’t think they’ll be able to fix it this time. So, everything’s gone for good,” he said, leaving with the laptop, after smiling at me and waving at Dray.

Okay, moment of truth, I did break it before, only once though. I’m just not a patient person, and it kept lagging, like it was testing me. Safe to say, I failed that test, badly.

Also, there is only one library in town, the others are in schools and universities. I love books, so I thought, why not get paid while appreciating such exquisite literature.

More importantly, I’m bored, I need something to keep me occupied. Ugh. It’s actually not a big deal. I’m just tired of being bored.

The laptop was already messed up; for your information, I needed a new one anyway. It had been pissing me off these days; imagine watching your favorite show and the laptop just keeps closing. I tried to relax, but it had it coming, honestly. And I already saved the important stuff in a flash drive, so it’s all good.

“Damn, Tessie, you good?” Dray questioned as he let out a chuckle.

Nodding I laughed, “I’m just bored. Let’s fight.”

“Fight?” he asked, confused.

“Mhm, just yell bullshit, and I’ll do the same.”

He looked at me for reassurance and I smiled at him, gesturing for him to start.

“Uh… I can’t think of anything. Come on, get ready, we’re going out,” he said walking out of my room.
