Games. I love playing them... alone.

My friends don't understand the concept of 'it's just a game'.

I remember this one time in 4th grade when we played hopscotch during recess, Ian was winning and Lee was pissed. He ended up throwing a rock at Ian's back, in hopes of making him lose. It didn't work, weirdly, and once Ian passed the level, he calmly picked up the same rock and yeeted it towards Lee, causing it to hit his knee; making him bleed.

There's always so much competitiveness while playing games, and it frustrates me to no end. Games are supposed to be entertaining and fun, not maddening and annoying. They always end in fights and arguments. I mean I get the want of winning but for fuck's sake, it is just a game. What if you lose? It's not like you're asked to give away a kidney, who cares?

Sitting here watching the idiot's play monopoly is killing me. Things such as, 'you fucking cheater', 'you stole that, you fucker', 'there wasn't a hotel there, you bitch', and more are being thrown around. And I'm pretty sure, a few minutes from now, someone will have their throat wrapped in a hand, with the words 'I'm gonna kill you' flying around.

I had kindly declined their offer of joining them, knowing if I had I'd kill them all for all the unnecessary yelling.

While watching them play...fight, I thought back to what Malia had told me.

{Flashback}

"So, I noticed something while I was bandaging you up," Malia nervously said, playing with her hair.

"You might wanna take a seat, Tessie," Dray warned, smiling softly.

I sat back down on the swing, nervous as hell.

What the fuck did she notice?

I need a nose job, don't I?

Maybe it just looked weird cause I was punched? I mean, everyone always said my nose was perfect.

"A part of your soul is missing, Celeste," she yelled out, looking scared... for me?

Okay, and?

"Yeah, I already know that, what's the big deal?" I shrugged.

"The big deal? THE BIG DEAL? The big deal is that a part of your SOUL is missing, Celeste. How do you even know about it?" she asked, flabbergasted.

"Well, Bob told me about it a long time ago," I replied.

"Bob?" she questioned.

"Oh, Bob is my ghost friend, he's kind of the reason I'm alive today," I responded with a small smile.

"Wait. Celeste, correct me if I'm wrong, which I'm hoping I am, but you can see ghosts," she said, wide eyed.

"Is that a statement or a question?" I asked, confusedly.

"It's a statement I'm hoping you'll deny." She stated, staring at me.

"Why? So, I can see ghosts, big whoop. Who cares?" I said, honestly.

"Celeste, it's not that you can see ghosts, but you are also a dragon's human. No one has ever, and I mean EVER heard of someone, a human, who is able to see all. 'Aspectu' means, sight for all supernatural beings and not just dragons, or just ghosts, but all. It's a very dangerous thing. Knowing about something existing and actually being able to communicate with them are two different things. This isn't normal," she explained, looking worried.

"Oh, really? But it's normal for ghosts, dragons, werewolves, witches and other supernatural beings to exist? Everyone has a different normal, for you this might be some big unexpected situation but for me, it's my life," I giggled out.
