- 3RD PERSON -
April 21, 2014. 7:30 PM, Camp Half-blood.
Percy stood in shock at the end of the pavilion, staring at the back of his soon-to-be ex-lover.
If Percy didn't have twenty-twenty vision, he would not have been able to see that it was a one-sided kiss. Annabeth was holding the boy in place, forcing him to kiss her back. The boy was obviously trying to get away, but his hands refused to even touch the daughter of Athena.
Everyone was awkwardly shifting in their seats after noticing his presence, except the two demigods at the Poseidon table. Chiron was the first to acknowledge Percy's presence, quickly making his way toward his star student.
Once he was within hearing range, Percy absently greeted his favorite teacher,
"Hello, Chiron."
The old centaur did not say anything in return, continuing to study the son of Poseidon's posture. He stood in a rigid stance; an emotionless facade adorned his features.
Though it had been a while since Chiron had seen a genuine smile on Percy's face, this was entirely different from his previous behavior.
Clearing his throat, Chiron quietly asked, "Was Lady Athena any help with this-er...problem?"
He was fully aware of Percy's reason for meeting the goddess and was very supportive of the decision.
Annabeth changed very much since the Pit, but the past few months took quite a toll on the old trainer. He believed that it was for the best that Percy and Annabeth parted ways; they just might learn to be happy again.
The son of Poseidon's scowl deepened, answering the elder with a single nod.
Chiron immediately understood before wheeling back to the head table next to Mr. D.
Dionysus was thoroughly disgusted; it was hard for him to eat his dinner with such a revolting scene occurring. Not that he cared about what the campers did, it just had a different meaning in his opinion.
Aside from the restricting camp rule on public displays of affection, Mr.D had a vastly growing hate for the daughter of Athena.
As hypocritical as it sounds coming from him,
'A person should not come to find their lover committing an immoral act behind their backs.' He mused before recoiling with a shudder. 'Oh, goodness gracious, I sound like Hera.'
After dismissing his previous thoughts, Mr.D watched along with everyone else as Percy slowly made his way toward his soon-to-be ex-girlfriend.
Annabeth and the boy stopped kissing, as they noticed the unsettling silence that hung in the air. The poor boy gasped for air, furiously wiping his mouth with much fervor. When he looked around, his face immediately flushed in humiliation.
After a few moments of just sitting there, Annabeth became aware of the stares she'd been receiving.
A sudden chill ran up her spine as she felt a particularly hard one behind her. She turned to find her boyfriend, Percy Jackson, standing directly behind her, with his arms folded and a scowl resting on his face.
'Perfect.' She internally smirked, her excitement beginning to build.
Percy's stunning sea-green eyes were now hard and cold, bitterness laced within them. The two demigods stared at the other challengingly, not backing down from their equally threatening stares.
