- 3RD PERSON -

May 12, 2014. Percy's apartment.

It had been over a two weeks since Percy first moved in to his new apartment.

Two weeks since he was kidnapped by the League of Assassins.

Paul's death was still fresh on his mind; the very same went to his unborn sibling.

He still couldn't believe that he was going to have a younger brother or sister. Tyson may be his younger half-brother, but he was rarely around anymore with his duties as Cyclops general. Triton was just starting to warm up to him, and things were still a bit awkward between them.

So with everything going on with his mother, Percy had to resort to surrogacy; so that the baby would be naturally born. He hand-picked the surrogate mother; choosing a healthy young woman he got along fine with and trusted enough to carry his unborn sibling.

After the procedure of the egg transfer, Percy felt at ease and was able to focus on funding for his mother's life support.

He checks on her when he can, but she is in a medically induced coma; a part of the process of her life support. He would just sit next to her bed and talk about his day to her since the doctors told him that there was a high chance that she could still hear everything.

The hospital was slowly growing used to the celebrity's presence in the hospital, a new rule was installed so that Percy wasn't disturbed on a daily. So when he visited, he was left alone while he spoke to his mom.

Thankfully, the paparazzi do not follow him to the hospital, saving the patients and workers the disruption of people frolicking outside of the hospital.

However, it was an entirely different story when he was out in public.

The poor demigod could barely get out of his building without cameras flashing in his face. News about the terrorist attack was still hot; nothing was stopping anyone from asking disrespectful questions about it.

"Were they the ones responsible for your mother's attack?"

"Do they only want you for your looks and status?"

"Did they impregnate your mother during her attack?"

That last question triggered him; but fortunately, nobody knew about the surrogacy.

For extra protection, Percy gave the surrogate mother a new home in his apartment building, so that she and the child were safely shrouded from the outside world. When she went out in public, she was accompanied by pre-hired bodyguards.

Even he had to resort to protection as well, starting to pay his doorman, Michael, to drive him around the city. He hated the thought of using him like that, which is the reason why he rarely had Michael drive him around.

Instead of allowing them to swarm the front entrance of his apartment building, he strengthened the security to have them keep the paparazzi outside of the courtyard. But when he had to leave the apartment during the day, Michael would drive him around in a black BMW. You know, just to keep up with appearances.

At night, he would drive himself around in his private car, driving all around the city in it was probably the only freedom he could get nowadays.

During this very slow week, Percy ended up preparing his first appearance in public after 2 months of no word from him. Thanks to the Mist, people thought that he was too busy at the moment to make any appearances. Unknown to them, he was staying in Camp Half-blood.
