(A/N) I jinxed myself.
I truly believe I jinxed myself when I said that updating would be better since I was on summer break. But no! As some of you know, I got writer's block. I know where I want the story to go, but it was difficult for me to write up scenes and conversations between characters to get there.
About my earlier note, I want to ask about those who wished for my next book to be a Male — Percy Jackson x Jason Todd. I'm really contemplating it, but I think I'm going to keep it as Female — Percy Jackson x Jason Todd. I actually already have more ideas for Percy Jackson's stories, but the debuts will come much later on.

November 12, 2014. 10:25 PM, Percy's Apartment.
~Creak!
'How the hell does carpet creak?' Damian silently cursed, glancing into his father's room as he tried to sneak past it. Throughout the day, Damian worked in the library, thinking of ways to meet his mother.
So far, his plan was perfect. His doubts prodded from the back of his mind, but the further the day wasted away, the more sure he became.
Since he stayed in the library for the rest of the day, he had limited interactions with his father, who only came by the library to check on him and bring him dinner. Unlike earlier that day, his father didn't attempt to strike up a conversation with him. Which was suspicious, but he didn't let that faze him too much and tried to focus on his plan.
Damian flinched when the sheets of his father's bed shuffled around. When the shuffling stopped, he took a deep breath before smoothly running down the hallway, this time without making a sound.
He tightly gripped the car keys to keep them from jingling as he slipped out of the penthouse and into the elevator. He carefully slipped on a mask to cover his features as he impatiently watched the elevator slow to the main floor.
When the doors opened, everything stopped.
The only people in the lobby were workers and a few residents of the building, but the notification of Percy Jackson's elevator was enough to draw everyone's attention.
Silence conveyed the hall as a young boy dressed in black walked out with nonchalance, acting as if he owned the very building. Nobody moved or even made a sound as he walked out the doors. For a moment, everything remained silent until a phone rang.
The desk clerk was just like everyone else, stupified in place as he tried to comprehend what he had witnessed. Without even looking, he answered it with a distracted greeting.
"Did he leave?"
The desk clerk choked on air as the man he was thinking about questioned him.
"Mr. Jackson?!"
The sudden exclamation made everyone's heads snap toward the front desk. The clerk was sweating bullets and stuttering into the phone receiver.
"W-Who are you talking about?"
The annoyed sigh on the other end made him swallow thickly.
"A boy walked out of my apartment not too long ago, yes?"
"E-Er, yes, sir."
The weary sigh on the other end of the line expressed how exhausted the man was, and before the clerk could ask anything else, the click of the phone hanging up stopped him.
The confused desk clerk put the phone back, staring at it for a few moments before the familiar ding of an elevator drew his attention away. The other workers had initially gotten back to work while he was on the phone, but the elevator ding caught their attention too.
