Place In The Sun (On-Hold)

Saturday came by pretty fast, and Yoonhee was already preparing for the party. She was wearing a light brown and long sleeved formal dress (photo above).

However, Rona seemed to notice that she was not being her usual self. Her mother was too tensed for just a party.

"Eomma, why're you so worked up? Its not like this is the first party you'd attend..."

"Rona-yah, this is different. Those people... I don't know any of them yet. I don't know if they are good people or not."

But Rona knew that there was another reason. She sighed and crossed her arms, looking at her mother as if she was asking her to spill the beans. Yoonhee released a deep breath knowing that her daughter saw past her, and decided to just tell her the truth.

"Fine... Its because Seojin is there, and also... Yoonchul..."

"Yoonchul? Who's that, Eomma?"

"Just someone that became another reason why Seojin and I fought."

Rona's mouth formed an 'O' at the new found information. This guy might be her mother's first love.

Then she remembered something, she heard from her classmates that Soojin had a new lover. So this 'Yoonchul' guy is single? Well, Rona wouldn't mind having a new father- however, she doesn't like the fact that he is the father of Eunbyeol.

"Oh, but I heard from my classmates that Eunbyeol's parents are divorced?"

"Yes, that's true. I don't even know why I'm this nervous."

"There's probably another reason, eomma. Anyways, I think you should go. The party is for you, right? So you shouldn't be late."

"Right... Thank you Rona-yah, and take care okay? I left money on the coffee table, and I already cooked your dinner."

"Okay, thank you eomma!"

Rona gave her mother a hug, but not too tight to avoid wrinkling her clothes. Yoonhee gave her a kiss on the cheek before she headed out, a feeling of relief washing her.

Rona was right, perhaps. Why would she be nervous for a party that included her biggest enemy and first love? Maybe there was another reason.
