Serial Killer

chapter 13

    It was a half hour drive when they finally turned a corner in the dark woods. Sophia’s eyes landed on the huge mansion infront of them.

     The large front doors opened and the blond guy led Sophia down a few hallways into a huge corridor followed by two gun men.

     Suddenly they came infront of a huge wooden door guarded by two body guards. All of the things now making sense that why they were not able to trace any of the missing girls.

    The blond pushed the door open revealing a big room what looked like a study. The two walls of the room had wall to wall book shelve with a huge window behind the desk and the red furniture gave the room a royal look.

      “Boss will see you in a minute.” The blond guy said as he left the room shutting the door behind him.

    She looked around the room thinking that weather this was the same place those poor girls were brought too. The fear in their hearts was the only thing different cuz she was ready for anything.

     Her train of thoughts gets interrupted by the sound of the doors opening behind her. She puts a cold face on she stayed still on her stop not even moving to see who it was.

    “It’s been a long time Sophia.” The voice making her eyes go wide and the hair on the back of her neck stand as a shiver runs down her spine.

    She turns around, her breath shivers as she said “Your alive?” as he stood there looking at her with a weak smile.

    “I am.” He replied. “How is this possible, we buried you.” She said as her voice shakes a bit.

    “Wasn’t me.” He replied as she took a deep breath and composed herself. “So J.H stands for .... Jayden Hunters?” She asked.

    “Yes, it does.” Jayden replied “Why, why Jayden why?” she said getting louder. “Why are you doing this, I can’t believe that you are the same old sweet boy you were back then, the sweet boy turned into a psycho serial killer.” She shouted.

    “Being adopted every other year and being abused by your fosters can really mess your mind up Sophia.” Jayden replied.

    “Why are you doing this?” Sophia asked. “Cuz I want others to feel the same pain I’ve been through my whole life.” Jayden replied stepping forward.

   “This world used to take its anger out on me, I got beaten every day and was thrown in dark rooms; Now, it’s my turn to take my anger out on the world.” Jayden said standing infront of her, smirking.

   “You’ve lost your mind.” Sophia said through gritted teeth. “NO!!” Jayden shouted making her flinch. “You see Sophia this world is on fire, Its on FIREE!” He shouted. “And I was sick of running from this fire so, I decided to become a part of this fire, and trust me it is horrifically beautiful.” He said chuckling evilly.

    “I wish you were dead.” Sophia said as he turned towards her and stood right infront of her “You want me dead, then go ahead.” He said as he pulled a gun out of his waistband and placed it in Sophia’s hands after taking the safety off.

    “Shoot.” He said as he stepped back. “SHOOT SOPHIA.” He shouted as she pointed the gun at him as her fingers reached the trigger. But couldn’t, she can’t shoot her childhood friend. The only friend she had back then at the orphanage . Her heart ached at the sight of him, at what that sweet old boy had become.

    “See, you can’t, you don’t have the guts to.” Jayden said as a tear slides down her cheeks, the gun still pointed at him.

     Suddenly, the door burst open and David walked in his gun pointed at Jayden as he came and stood next to Sophia. Sophia’s eyes widened in shock as Jayden’s face showed anger.

    “Sophia, get out of here now.” David said. “That was a very bad move Sophia, I told you no back up.” Jayden said glaring at Sophia. “You broke the rules Sophia, your not walking outta here not alive.” Jayden said with anger.  

    “Sophia go out and tell Jason to bring the cops in here, I wanna handcuff him myself.” David said and as soon as Sophia turned around everything happened in seconds.

    Jayden stepped forward and tackled David down, snatching the gun from his hands and shouts “SOPHIA!!” As she turns around he points the gun at her and before his fingers reached the trigger David manages to get back on his feet and pulls his arm in the other direction punching Jayden across the face.

    He stumbles a bit as a return he smacks the gun against David’s head and David knees him in the stomach. He bends down as in an attempt the gun shot went off.

    BANG...........

    Finally David manages to pull the gun out of Jayden’s grasp kicking him in the stomach and shoots him in the head and his body limps to the ground.

    David’s breath gets heavy as he feels his eyes close and he collapse on the ground as well.

    “DAVID!” Sophia shouts and rushes towards him as she turns him around only to find his shirt bloody as more blood oozes out ot the hole in his chest.

    Her breath shakes as she sees blood on her hand.“Your gonna be alright David, just hold on, don’t close your eyes.” Sophia says.

   “Sophia-” David says. “I’m right here David.” She said holding her hand. “Sophia, please forgive my father and for everything I’ve ever done to you.” David says in his faint voice.

    “No, no David please stay with me, please.” Sophia says as tears stream down her cheeks. His hand falls from her hand as his eyes slowly closed. “David?” She calls but no response. “David?” still no response.

   “NO, no, no David.............DAVID.” She cried with his head in her lap. The sunlight hits her face seeping from the window. Slowly everything started spinning and her vision starts getting blur as her head hits the ground.

   “Sophia.....”  Emma’s voice was the last thing she heard before everything went dark...
