“You knew that David was Harry Liam’s son that’s why you tried to changes the topic.” Sophia said.

“Sophia I’m sorry. I didn’t want you to be upset.” Emma said lowering her head.

Sophia took a deep breath and closed her eyes. “It’s okay Emma it’s not your fault.” She said “Did you got the files?” Sophia said.

“Yes.” Emma said giving her the files. “Come on lets go now.”  She said and both of them walked out of David’s office.

Later that night, Sophia was going through the files. She noticed two things that both of the victims were teenage girls and he killed his victims within two days.

“That’s strange.” She muttered before she heard the door bell. She frowned and went to open the door.

As soon as she opened the door her eyes widened in shock as he stopped in with an angry expression.

“David, w-what are you d-doing here?” She said stepping back.

“You know why I came here Ms. Harvey.” He said through gritted teeth. “You know I could you report you as a thief for taking the files from my office WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.” He shouted.

“Oh really, then report your father as a murderer first.” Sophia spat back.
At this David’s eyes widened in shock and he got confused. “Watch it Sophia or that tongue of yours is gonna get in deep trouble.” David said rising his voice.

“You can’t shut me down now’ first your father then you; what have I done to be treated with so much hate and disgust?” Sophia said.

“What do you mean by my father, Huh?” David asked walking close to her shooting daggers at her with his eyes but still confused.

“You wanna know, then listen; my parents died thanks to your father. He was drunk and driving nineteen years ago but the chairman of a powerful political party gave him enough money to shut the mouth of the witnesses from saying a word and left me with no choice but to cry myself to sleep.” Sophia said as tears flowed down her cheeks.

“The people were never gonna believe a seven year old who just suffered a big loss. I cried every night before I learned to live like this and to stay quite. But no one treated me the way you did David Liam.” Sophia said as her voice crakes a bit.

After hearing this his expression softened and he had guilt in his eyes. “I’m sorry.” He said looking down. Sophia wiped her tears and turned her head away.

“I remember that father had an accident but never knew that other people got killed in it, I’m sorry Sophia.” David said and Sophia closed her eyes and inhaled.

Suddenly there was a knock on the door. As Sophia opened the door se was met by Helen who was a crying mess.

“Oh Sophia......” Helen walked in and hugged Sophia and sobbed harder.

“Helen, what happened, why are you crying?” Sophia asked.

“Sophia, Sama-Samantha...” Helen said and cried harder.

“What happened to her?” Sophia asked worried as David walked closer to them.

“Samantha is missing.” Helen said sobbing. On hearing this Sophia’s heart dropped and David’s eyes widened.

                “Since when?” David asked.

“This even-evening.” Helen answered as Sophia supports her to the couch.

“Sophia, get her glass of water please.” David said and Sophia rushed and came back with a glass of water.

“Drink this and please calm down miss.”David said as Helen gulped down the water.

“Now tell me from the start, what happened.” David said.

“She said that she was going out to hang out with her friends and that she would be back by eight..... It’s almost eleven and she isn’t back yet. Please find her, please bring my daughter back.” Helen said and sobbed.

“What time did she go out?” David asked “Four” Helen replied.

“Maybe she is staying at a friend’s house” Sophia said.

“No, If she did she would’ve told me, but she isn’t answering her phone. I’ve tried more than a hundred times.” Helen replied.

“Did you ask any of her friends?” David asked

“Yes, I called all of them but everyone said the same thing that she left at seven thirty, but she isn’t home yet.” Helen replied.

“Did you file a missing report?”David asked. “Yes, her father went out to the police station.” Helen said.

“Sophia I need you to call Emma here this instant.” David said and Sophia obligated. Meanwhile David’s phone started ringing.

“Hello.” He answered the phone. “We have another missing person report.” Jason said

“Hmm, I’m on my way.” David replied.

An hour later, Helen was sitting on Samantha’s bed while Sophia stood next to her and Emma was going through Samantha’s computer.

“No, I didn’t found anything.” Emma replied.

“That means she was not being blackmailed or something like that.” Sophia said.

Suddenly Emma’s phone went off. She frowned and Sophia walked close to her. “It’s Jason.” Emma replied.

“Hello...?” Emma answered. There was a pause for a minute “When? Okay were on our way.” Emma said and disconnected the call.

“What happened Emma?” Sophia asked as Helen stood up. “They caught James. We have to go now.”Emma said and rushed out.

“Sophia, what does that means?” Helen asked. “Helen, they caught a suspect and if he speaks, we might be able to find Samantha.” Sophia replies and Helen’s eyes lit up with hope.

“Okay then, Go ahead Sophia.” Helen said as Sophia ran out after Emma.
