    The next morning, her eyes flutter open when the sunlight hit her face. Getting out of her bed she walked into the bath room. By the time she walked out off her room the sun was again hiding behind the clouds.

    As soon as she walked out off the bed room she saw a black jacket on the sofa her eyes grew wide as they landed on the person under the jacket.

    She bit her lips, holding back a smile. She walked over to him and poked his head.

    “David?” She whispered but he didn’t even move. “David??” She said a bit louder and he woke up almost felling out of the sofa. He stood up as he regained his balance.

   “Everything okay?” He asked a bit worried.

    “Hmm, But, were you here the whole night?” Sophia asked crossing her arms over her chest.

    “I....I um....wanted to make sure that you were okay.” David said scratching the back of his head looking at the floor. Sophia turned her head and her eyes landed on the table and she saw his gun, wallet and his badge on it.

    “Well you could’ve gone to the guest room, its right there. This sofa would’ve been quite uncomfortable.” Sophia said.

    “I, not..... I mean it was not that uncomfortable at all.” David said looking at the floor.

    “Thank you... for looking after me David, I really appreciate.” Sophia said with a small smile.

    “It’s okay, no need to thank me..... If it wasn’t for my father you would’ve had someone to look after you.” David said as she looked at him “Sophia would you please forgive my father, I know it’s--” David gets cut off by Sophia.

    “It’s okay David; please don’t apologize for what you’ve not done.” Sophia says and he keeps quite as an awkward silence fills the room.

    “You look a lot better today, hope doing fine?” David asked breaking the silence.

    “Yea, thanks.” Sophia said passing a small smile. Just as David opened his mouth to say something his phone went off.

    “It’s Emma.” He said and answered the phone.

    “Hello, Is everything okay Emma.....Hmm.....Okay... we’ll be there.” David said ending the call.

     “What’s she saying?” Sophia asked.

     “She said that they are back from the cemetery and Helen is asking for you.” He said. “Let go.” He said as both of them walk out the apartment.

    It was almost 2pm when Sophia came back from the graveyard. She knocked on the door and walked in Helen’s room.

   Her eye landed on Jasper as he got up from his seat and walked over to Sophia.

   “Hey, how are you?” Sophia asked as the old man’s eyes get glossy with tears.

    “Broken...” He replied as a tear falls down his face.

    “I am so sorry Jasper.” Sophia said as her eyes filled with tears. “No, no child, it’s not your fault. Don’t say like that.” Jasper said wiping her tears.

    “Sophia? Is that you?” Helen said in a weak voice as she walked to her sitting in the chair next to her, taking her hand.

    “Yea, I’m right here Helen, I’m so sorry, I can’t find her Helen.” Sophia said and hugged Helen as she cries her heart out.

     “It’s not your fault sweet heart, I have no doubts that you tried your best to find her, Please don’t be sorry.” Helen said as tears stream down her face.

    “I promise you Helen, I’ll find justice for Sam and for every innocent he’s killed.” Sophia said.

    “I know you will, I trust you my child. I know you will get him.” Helen said cupping her face in her hands. Sophia gives a little squeeze to her and smiled weakly.

    She walked out of the room and dialed Emma’s number for the fourth time. On getting no answer she dialed Jason’s number and he picked on the second ring.

    “Hello, Jason where is Emma? Can you please give her the phone?” Sophia said.

    “Emma’s not here Sophia, She came but then she received a call and said that she had to go to the police station.” Jason explained.

    “Okay, I’ll check there, thanks.” Said and ended the call.

    She pushed open the door and walked in only to find the police station more crowded than usual. She frowned and walked a bit further only to bump in a person rushing through the crowd.

    “Oww.” A familiar voice said and she turned around and saw David.

   “Hey, when did you come?” David asked.

    “Just now.” She replied and looked around as she saw a few women crying. “What happened here?” She asked.

    “I’ll explain everything, Come with me.” David said as he led her to the waiting room.

     As soon as she walked in her eyes landed on Emma who was leaning against the wall, her eyes closed and tears stained her cheeks.

    Her gaze diverted to the couple sitting next to her. She got even more confused when she saw Jane and Adrin sitting there as Jane sobbed, her head resting on his shoulder.

    “What happened here?” Sophia asked as Emma open’s her eyes and launched at Sophia. She sobbed hugging her.

    “Emma, what happened why are you crying, And Jane and Adrin, what are they doing here.” Sophia asked, confused as hell.

    David walked to her and kept a hand on her shoulder as she turned around.

    “32 missing kids have been reported in the last four hours Sophia.............”
