Half hour later, she rings the door bell and waits for the door to open. Just then the door opened revealing a woman in her late 30’s.

“Yes, how can I help you?” the lady asks.

“Hi Ma’am, I’m detective Sophia Harvey.” She said showing her ID to her. “I’m here to ask a few questions about Abigail.”Sophia said as the woman stepped aside and let her come in.

She was sitting on a sofa as the woman came back and gave her a cup of hot tea.

“Thank you.” She said taking the cup from her.

“Your welcome. So what do you wanna ask about Abby.” The woman said.

“I wanna ask a few questions before her disappearance.” Sophia said.

“Did she got into a fight with someone?” Sophia asked.

“No, My daughter was not the type to get into any fights and if she did, she would’ve told me.” The woman replied. “Although she was upset from last few days.” She said.

“Hmm, what was your name again?” Sophia asked.

“Roselin Jenson.” She replied. Her red nose and puffy eyes showed that she had been crying for a long time.

She was quite for a while when the door bell rang. Rosline excused herself and walked out of the living room. She walked back in and had a teenage boy and a man behind her.

“Sophia this is Mike Jenson my husband and this is Lucas my son, he’s elder then Abby.” She introduced them to her.

“And this is Sophia Harvey; she came here to ask a few questions about Abby.” Roselin explains them.

“Please have a seat Detective.” the old man says as they settled down.

“Thank you sir, so you said that she was she was upset from last few days.”Sophia asked.

“Yes, and she stayed quite most of the time as if lost in her own thoughts.” Lucas replied.

“She didn’t even join us for dinner neither used to go out with her friends.” Mike explained.

“I was so worried my child was losing her bright smile and then she suddenly........” Roselin said as she starts sobbing.

“It’s okay Ma’am, your daughter will come back. Please don’t cry.” Sophia said placing a hand on her shoulder.

Suddenly something clicked in her mind. “Mr. Jenson, if you don’t mind can I check any media device she had.” Sophia asked.

“Why not, Lucas would you please lead her to Abby’s room, I’ll take Roseline to her room, Com on Rose I think you should rest for a while.” Mike said as he led his wife to room and Sophia went upstairs with Lucas.

The both of them walk into her room and Lucas turns the light on. “That’s her laptop.”He said pointing to the study table.

She opens the laptop and goes through it. Going through her laptop she reads a few messages and finds the answers.

“She was being threatened by someone.” Sophia says.

“I can’t believe it, she was being threatened and she didn’t told any of us.” Lucas said shocked. “So that’s what kept her so lost and quite.”

“She didn’t tell you because she did not want anyone to get hurt. See this message states it clearly that the less people know the more safe they are.” Sophia read. At this she pulled her phone out of her pocket and took pictures of the messages, zooming on the ID of sender.

“This is gonna be a big clue to find her, Thank you Lucas; I should go now.” She said and walked out of the room.

The next day, Emma and Sophia were both sitting in the café. Jane walked to them with cups of coffee.

“... And he was so happy; he said he would become a pilot when he grows up.” Emma tells her the story of Kenny at his school.

“Thanks Jane.” Sophia said and she smiled as she walked back.

They both sat quite for a while before Sophia broke the silence. “Emma, do you know someone who can trace the location of an ID.” She asked.

“Yes, But why did you asked?” Emma asked.

“Last night, I went to Abigail’s house and what I found out was that she was being threatened by someone. I took photos of the sender’s ID” Sophia explained showing her the pics she took.

“Does Mr. David know about this?” Emma asked.

“No, I don’t think so Emma; cuz if he did he would’ve hired someone to track it down. Plus I think that he doesn’t even knows that she was being blackmailed.” Sophia said.

“Hmm, then let’s go when we get free.” Emma says as both of them walk back to the building.

Later that night, both of them stood outside an abandoned building.

“You sure this is the right place Emma; it looks creepy.” She said.

“Yea, it’s the same address located after tracing this ID.” Emma replied looking at the piece of paper in her hand.

“Well then; let’s go and check out.” Sophia said as both of them walked in the abandoned building.

As they walked in they saw spider webs in every corner of the place. Both of them went up a flight of dusty stairs as both of them saw light coming out from the slightly ajar door. A window next to the door with a broken glass through the person on other side could be seen.

As both of them walked closer they saw a blond boy on a chair his back facing them. Sophia and Emma exchanged nods before Sophia pulls out a gun from her waistband. As Emma kicks the door open both of them stormed in making the boy jump in fear.

“FREEZE, DON’T MOVE.” Sophia yells as the boy turns around slowly.

Sophia and Emma’s eyes go wide due to shock as they see the person in front of them.

“JASON...!!” Both of them shout in unison.
