Guards and high-ranking officials could be seen surrounding the King's throne as the clouds were starting to form indicating a huge storm was on its way. The place was silent despite there being more than twenty people near him. The King tapped his fingers on the armrest of his throne as worry was painted across his face.

"...Are you sure that you have searched for them everywhere?" The King spoke.

The soldier looked up and met with the King's face, his stern voice also sent fear down the spine of the kneeling soldier. "Y-yes my King... We have searched all five of the nearby towns." He said.

"But there's not a single trace we can find... I'm sorry, my King." The King leaned back on his throne. The fear of losing his daughters forever fell on him like a ton of bricks, he still couldn't wrap his mind around how the princesses of the Kingdom just suddenly vanished into thin air without a single trace left behind.

"Mages? Any luck?" He turned his head to the left as the mages showed a look of disappointment.

"I'm afraid our magic also can't find your daughters my King..." The group of mages could only bow their heads down.

He was getting more anxious with every passing time, three days have passed since the disappearance and nobody knows anything about their whereabouts. Just when he thought it couldn't get worse, a scream could be heard at the end of the hall.

"The dead rises once more to claim what's first meant for him!!!"

A soldier shouted before taking out an arrow and aimed his bow at the King. He fired the ranged weapon before anyone could stop him. The King thought he was a goner but luckily the arrow barely missed his head as it struck just next to his head. He could only gaze at the shaking arrow, being stunned before he turned his head once more to the person responsible.

The soldier didn't stop there and unsheathed his sword. With a loud warcry, he charged towards the King.

"Stop him!" Said the head guard as his underlings started marching with a shield, protecting themselves from the upcoming attack.

But of course, a single soldier couldn't do anything against an armed army. He was easily stopped by the shield guards and subdued by the rest of them.

__________

"He's awake!" Said one of the guards as the other went up to inform of it to the head. Not long after, three guards came down with him, with the two being the head's trusty soldier, and the head himself.

"Awake I see."

"Ugh... what happened?" Those were the first words he spoke out after he regained his consciousness. The head thought he was joking as it made him slightly annoyed.

"I'll tell you. You almost killed the King, traitor. How dare you ask what happened. Now tell me why you did what you did."

"Head guard, I promise you I didn't do anything. I'm just as confused as you."

"Nonsense. You were fully conscious when you picked your bow, aiming it at the King's head. Not to mention that you also drew your sword out."

"I really did-" His words were cut short when his body then lost consciousness once more, making them confused.

"Hey, wake up." One of them said as his head raised once more, this time with his eyeballs blackened making them stand their guard up, trembling in fear.

"Did you guys think that by catching me, it's all done? This is just a pawn that I use to send a message, that something is coming."

"What are you saying, guard?!"

"The. Kingdom. Will. Fall. And a new ruler shall rise." The guards could not give him any answer as they just stood there, being ready for what's to come. The guard then smiled towards them, a smile so wide that it would rip his mouth were it to grow more.

"Let's begin the party, shall we?" A grumble could be heard on top of their position as the head told them to quickly check up on the source of the sound. Just when they had arrived at the scene, there was a big hole on the side of the castle.

"What could've caused this...?"

__________

"Where could they be, honestly.." The King was sitting at his throne, rubbing his forehead in frustration.

"Sir, I'm sure they'll be fine. Our guards are on a 24-hour search, so we'll find them eventually."

"I do hope so."

"Head guard, he has awakened!"

"Sir, if you'd let me."

"You may go." The head proceeded to walk with his 2 other guards on his side, leaving the King alone on his throne.

"What could've made the guard act like that."

"Could he have been controlled by some entity? I don't think there's anyone who's capable of doing-" He then stopped his words as he was reminded of the soldier's words.

"The dead rises once more to cl- could it be?"

*BOOM*

The King stood up from his seat being startled by the loud noise coming from a few meters from his room. He was about to check up on the noise when the door swung open as it showed a bubbly girl.

"HI UNCLE!!! MISS ME?!!" Chuu shouted from the end of the hall.

The King squinted his eyes, trying to identify who the woman was walking towards him. She seems oddly familiar, even the aura she was emitting felt similar to someone he used to know.

"Where are my cousins!?" She pretended to look around the room. "Oh yes!~ Heejin threw them away~"

"Y-you... you are—"

"My King!! Are you alright!?"

It doesn't take long for the guards to rush into the throne room. Dozens of them immediately surrounded the intruder in a blink of an eye while holding their spears and swords, embracing for a possible upcoming attack.

"Who are you!? Do you not know the consequences of what you just did!?" The head guard spoke up.

"Me? Hihi~ I'm his niece! Right uncle!?"

*BOOM*

Another blast came from the door sending the guards flying. The remaining ones scurried and positioned themselves in front of the King. He trembled in fear as he heard two more people walking into the hall.

"Chuu, we don't claim someone who killed our father a family..."

"You're weaker than I thought old man~"

As the smoke cleared up, they witnessed two women emerge beside the first intruder. The King couldn't stop shaking when he felt the aura coming from the other two.

"Now now~ don't you know it's rude to point your weapons at a lady?~"

The deep-voiced woman brought her hand up before twisting her wrist. Suddenly every guard in the room felt like their bodies were constrained by an invisible force.

"Heejin... Chuu and Yves..." The King muttered. "I-I've been searching for y-you thre— arghh!!!"

The King felt a sharp pain in his lower body. He looked down and saw thorny vines wrapped around his legs. The same thing was happening to the rest of his guards as vines started to shoot up from the castle's ground and constricted all of them.

"We're claiming what's ours old man..." Yves tightens the vines on their bodies.

"You look tired." Heejin scanned the King and his guard. "I think you all should go to sleep. Yves, if you may."

"With pleasure sister."

Yves' eyes glowed a bright crimson, the men felt their bodies grew weaker by the second. The King slowly lost his consciousness as he dropped to his knees. His mouth moved, trying to chant something that he could counter their magic. But, just like that, he felt his mana seeping away from his body before he blacked out.

"With this... the Kingdom will soon be ours. This is for you, father. The Kingdom that was stolen from your hands. We took it back."
