"He's waking up!" Eunbi told the rest, as they waited for him to open his eyes. Soon after he did, they called out to him at the same time. He slowly got up, after realizing that the one in front of him was none other than the children he had raised.
"G-Girls..." He coughed, laying back down on the flat surface making the others worried.
"You don't have to get up, father! Just lay down, okay? You're not in any condition to be moving." Eunbi said to him.
"We're glad that you're still alive, father. We saw you flying from the sky, and landed at the top of the hill. I'm glad that you managed to chant a spell, so the impact wasn't all that big." Sakura explained the situation, as she scanned the rest of his body to see if there were any injuries she could've missed.
"No one seemed to notice that it was you, father. There wasn't any commotion when we brought you here." Minju continued. He took a good look at his surroundings, before turning his eye to Y/N. After noticing the stare their father was giving, he gave him an awkward smile before saying.
"It's a small apartment, so I hope you'll be able to keep yourself company until you fully recover, Mr..." He switched his glance to the other sisters, asking for help on how he should call him by.
"You can call me by my name. It's Mr.—" He coughed, before continuing his words.
"Mr. Minjun. Jo Minjun." The man then squinted his eyes as he tried to get a better look at Y/N. All of the eyes in the room shifted with him, staring at the man as his hand reached for his face.
"Is... there something wrong with my face?"
"Have we met before, young man?" He asked, whilst keeping eye contact.
"I believe we haven't." Y/N replied.
"You resemble someone I'm familiar with..." He kept looking deep into Y/N's soul, making him feel as if his life was being sucked away by the man in front of him. It took him a few seconds, before it stopped.
"Ah. I got it. Forget that I ever said anything." He gave a weak smile, before turning his attention to his children.
"Father? Do you know him?" Minju asked, the others also awaited his answer.
"How have you girls been?" He brushed it off, by replying to her question with another.
"We've been fine, father. Ever since we were thrown out to this world, we've been living here at Y/N's place. To be specific, Sakura lived somewhere for a short while before moving here. Both Minju and Yuri also lived at an abandoned... park? Before we managed to find them and reconciled at this place."
"I see. I'm really glad to see that you girls are alright." There was no exchange of words after the father's reply. The tone of his voice implied that he was too exhausted to be doing anything, and wanted to rest for the night.
"F-Father, how did you-"
"Yuri-ah. We shouldn't ask our father a lot of questions. Let's let him rest for now, and ask more tomorrow, yeah?" Eunbi cut in between, fearing that their father might prefer to rest his injuries for the night.
"I'm sorry, Yuri. Let's talk more tomorrow, okay?" He rubbed the top of her head, being apologetic that he had to prioritize resting his body more than asking for his daughters' well being.
Luckily for Y/N, he had an extra mattress for someone to sleep inside the room. After much talk, Minju decided that it would be her who's going to sleep with her father, with the rest of the girls sleeping in the guest room.
As there were not any blankets left for her to use, Y/N lent her the one he'd use which he used to sleep with by the sofa.
"Take it." He said.
