Chapter 9

Wake up!

"Nggh..." A boy woke up to his surroundings full of whites. He glanced around searching for somewhere to walk to, but it would seem endless.

"Am i dead? Whose voice was that just now? Was it the angels?"

"Wake up!" Y/N was awoken by the sound of a girl calling his name as he groaned.

"Oh good. You're alive." She said in a cheered up tone as she looked down on him

Still confused, he looked around his surroundings and realized that he was now in his apartment. Only then Y/N realized that he was sleeping on someone's lap, making him instantly shot up sitting straight.

"S-Sorry for borrowing your lap to sleep, noona." He said in a flustered manner.

"It's okay. My sister is at fault, after all." Eunbi glanced at the girl sitting across from them. "Ya. Apologize to him."

Sakura stayed silent, keeping her eyes down from her sister's sharp gaze. Eunbi doesn't have much mana at the moment, but she could still feel her sister's overwhelming aura.

"Oh. I haven't introduced her yet. She's my little sister, the second oldest, Sakura. Kkura-ya, this is Han Y/N."

She bit her lips, Sakura couldn't grasp the situation that they were in. So many things happened in a short time span.

The thought of what Sakura had to go through crossed Eunbi's mind when she saw the confused look on her face. She patted Sakura's lap to help her calm down.

"She's a silent girl. She'll talk eventually. Maybe she's just feeling apologetic to you that she can't talk."

"Well, if you say so." Just then, Y/N felt his head stung a bit as he touched the part where it supposedly hurt.

"I think we should call it a night. I still feel dizzy somehow. We'll just talk about this tomorrow."

"Agreed. By the way, where will she be sleeping at, Y/N?"

"Ah.. you're right. Let me think about it."

Y/N glanced at a room next to his. 'Sakura can sleep in Shuhua's old room I guess.'

"...okay. Noona, can you sleep in my room from now on? Let her sleep in my sister's room."

"Does that mean we're go-"

"No! I'm gonna sleep on the couch here instead." Y/N quickly cut in between her sentences in fear of a misunderstanding.

"But you can't do that, Y/N. It's your place, after all. We can't let you sleep here. I'll be sleeping here instead."

"Noona, i insist. It's better for me to sleep here rather than you being uncomfortable."

"Is that so?" Y/N nodded.

They talked a bit about what happened earlier before they decided to end the day. Y/N took a pillow and an extra blanket from his room. Sakura shot a glare at Y/N before she entered her room, Eunbi patted his shoulder and gave a soft smile before she walked to her room.

Timeskip...

"What time is it?" Y/N searched for his phone in the darkness. "2 A.M... *sigh* my throat's dry..."

The feeling of his parched throat made Y/N get up from the couch and walk over to the kitchen. His eyes had troubled adjusting to the brightness of the kitchen lights but he managed to fill up his glass with cold water. As Y/N was quenching his thirst, he felt someone approach him from behind.
