The newly found lightness in her eyes trailed down to my lips as did mine. There weren't any words being exchanged. We both inched towards each other and thankfully she didn't reject. Finally our lips touched as we kissed until we ran out of oxygen in our lungs.

Ever since Jade and I kissed I couldn't explain how I felt. There was something scary about me liking Jade but I didn't know why it was. She was actually the kindest person beneath her hard exterior but who could blame her? Her past wasn't very normal, it was more like damagingly dangerous. There wasn't anyone for her so she had to do anything to make sure she was.

Though I knew she was no good for me in the end, I still kept myself with Jade. Curiosity could kill me for all I cared, I was just too intrigued by her to leave her. Jade even showed me things that no one else dared to show me. I admired her will to do it because I knew it wasn't something easy. That was why no one wanted to show me.

Jade could actually be good for me in a way. She could be the one to make me more aware of this world instead of blind from the things I don't want to see. After all I couldn't choose what to see and what not to later in life. It didn't work like that. She even made me more open minded and way more strong than I ever was.

Before Jade, I was a boy who did what anyone expected. I was so driven by the idea of getting my father to come back to me, but I never realized that he didn't want me. He didn't want my family anymore, he had his new one. I always did things by the book and refused to comply to anything not coming from it. My life was absolutely boring doing that. People would push me around even if I did stand for myself. I was just too nice. My whole existence was as ordinary as anyone else's, and I hated that.

So yes, Jade can be bad for me, but in the end she could be the one to save me.

For the past couple of days we have gotten more food. Of course it wasn't five star quality, more like zero, but it was better than nothing. Over the last month or so I have gotten even skinnier, but the food was starting to help me maintain the weight, and not decrease it more. I could tell Jade was loosing weight as well. Even Alice.

As one person who was cleaning passed by, I gave him my garbage. He took it and continued to mop the floor. This was probably the first time someone was cleaning this place up. I'd like to say it surprised me, but it didn't. This place was getting messier everyday and it was about time someone cleaned it. When he was out of sight, I looked over to Jade.

He would see the ash spot. I waited until I heard some sign of him seeing it. A scream, accusation, something. It never came. After some time he came back in the main area and put his stuff away. Then he turned off the light and left us. Curiosity peeked my mind.

"I am going to go visit Alice and Number 004. Do you want to come?"

"Yes." I hissed. Jade raised her eyebrows before menacingly smiling as she unlocked my cell.

"What made you so excited to visit them?" She slowly worked through the lock which made me tap my foot in impatience. When she saw my foot she chuckled to herself.

"Jade please."

"Okay, okay." Her eyes met mine momentarily before pushing the door open. "There."

"Thank you." I stepped out and hugged Jade. I didn't know why I hugged her, it was weird.

She wrapped her hands around my shoulder after a hesitation and then let go after a couple of seconds. We pulled apart and smiled at each other before walking to the area where Alice and Number 004 resided in.
