"I'd be glad to die for you instead."

Darkness was approaching us but so did a wave of an unknown feeling. It was an emotion of creasing your eyebrows while you look around, the feeling of your heart lunging out because you saw someone or something. For me, I was not sure if it was because I almost fingered Jade or the fact that we were going to leave soon. Maybe I was just completely out of it thanks to my severe dehydration.

Jade was trying to finish getting some rest but claimed she could not because I refused to hum something that soothed her down. I was just too worried that I could not think straight enough for a nice melody to sound through the air. Instead, I sat crossed legged with my head hung low to play with the knife.

I don't know what the hell I was feeling, or thinking for that matter. When I saw Jades stomach start to slow done some, I stared at her and gripped the knife in my hand. Without any thought, I swiped the sharpest section of the knife against my upper wrist. Hardly any feeling was emitted except for satisfactory. A warm, wet gush of blood began to pile up and fall onto my jeans below. Before any blood got onto Henry's belongings, I got up at sat on the edge of the bed with my hands dangling in the center.

Again I brought the knife into contact with my skin and nothing. There was pain but I did not care for that. Once again I felt something in me spark, with the satisfactory of control. When the blood finally stopped dripping, I played with the inside of my lip. It doesn't matter if Jade finds out, its just the men. With that thought put to the back of my mind, I stabbed the side of the bed furthest away from the door, and left the knife partially in there.

Even Jade must have felt something different in the air. We did not feel like leaving today. This hell brought us together and I could not say that I hated every second spent here. As crazy as it may sound, I would probably go through it again if I could be with Jade. Maybe hell is where I belonged; maybe hell was my home. Our home.

She wasn't fully asleep, only on the verge of it. Our bodies were under the sheets, but they weren't pulled past our torsos. Her hand tried to find their way to me, but I officially connected our hands together, filling in every gap of exposed space. Peace and quiet surrounded us and I could not be any more neutral. Since her back was facing me, I planted my lips to where her neck and shoulder met. Like that, we fell asleep.

As I was dreaming of god knows what, who can remember, I jolted awake. It felt like I was in a whole different mood than before. Undoing Jade and I's hand, I touched the slightly older blood lines. They were starting to get a little darker and somewhat structured or harder. Dismissing the thought I went back. Again, I joined our hands together, laid as close as possible, and whispered in Jades ears- somewhat hoping she was sleeping, somewhat hoping she was awake- "I love you."
