"They're gonna find you, you know that?" My voice echoed throughout the warehouse, bouncing off simple furniture scattered throughout. My warm and puffy eyes were in slits as they followed the body of a man.

"Nice of you to dream that, but this is reality and I'll make sure they never do."

"If they can't find me then I'll make them."

He laughed loudly and threw something my way, "Try it and see what happens."

"What?"

The man ignored me and locked the door before he left the warehouse. Empty and alone again. A little bag labeled 'McDonald's' sat an arms length away from me. The sensational aura swooned in my nose. When I opened the bag, a smushed box was revealed, along with some fries. Salt lingered on the tips of my fingers before I quickly licked it away. I proceeded in eating the little plain burger left at the bottom of the bag. It felt so good to eat after 2 days of starvation, and I was not about to leave one grain of salt behind, or one crumb on my shirt.

Afterward, I laid down on the cold cement ground. I was only allowed a small space in this cell they created for me. Tiredness overcame my body, each minute dragging by in boredom and the stinging sensation from crying so much didn't help me stay awake any easier. My mind kept going back to the dark side which made me want to start crying again. I tried to stop it but seemed impossible to make it stray the other way, considering it was as dark as my mind in the warehouse.

I wondered how everyone back at home was doing. How was my mom and sister doing? My friends? No doubt they were worried sick and crying themselves to death, but what about my dad? Sure he hated anyone that wasn't his new family, but he has to feel some sincere sadness that his son had gotten kidnapped. Although I knew that was highly false, I couldn't help but care about what he thought about me.

Right there I couldn't help but think that maybe if I could prove to him how great the family he left is, he'll come back. If he sees that I escaped a kidnapping, he'll feel so overwhelmed and appreciative of me that he'd start to appreciate my mom and sister and reunite with us. So in the moment I was controlled by the thought of making my dad proud of me, I stood up and walked to the cell door.

I just have to escape.

I grabbed the door and pulled it as hard as I could. Nothing. Maybe if I pushed it or kicked it repeatedly it would budge so I did that and it didn't work either. I tried doing it days before and it obviously didn't work then so what would make it work now? There wasn't much to try so I started to get scared again. My body started to tremble and I got out of control. Without my mind processing, I was running around and pulling every bar and screaming until I felt weak.

I fell onto my knees and pushed my face into my elbow as tears started to drip down.

"Fudge stop thinking about it Harry." I sniffled to myself. I tried to push the tears back into my eyes but as I stared straight ahead I just let them fall as they pleased.

The pure blackness in my vision made my eyes sink to the bottom as I felt a warmness wrap around me. Before I fell unconscious I whispered "Tomorrow. Tomorrow I will be alone again and I will escape."

I was jolted awake when I heard the warehouse door violently rattle open. Voices were close to me as I slowly opened my eyes and stared at two men opening the cell door. As they approached me with handcuffs and a blind, I sat up and instantly I felt my brain pound in my head. My body was colder than the handcuffs wrapped around my wrists, and I couldn't help but feel my eyes practically burn when I closed them shut or held them wide open. I was getting ill.

We entered a room and when they took off the blind and handcuffs, I noticed it was furnished like a doctors office. I would've started hyperventilating by the fact that this was the first time they let me out of my cell in days, but I was too drained of energy to.

"Sit over there." The one with frizzy blond hair ordered. At the end of his fingertip was a vacant, cream colored leather chair. I waddled over and sat down. The other man with short brown hair sat next to me, observing my body. He eyed me suspiciously before resting his hand on my forehead.

"He's getting sick."

"Eh, it's whatever. He's just getting used to sleeping on the floor. No big deal." The one with blond hair mumbled. "Boss just wanted us to prepare him a little this week."

"Prepare for what?" I questioned roughly. No one responded.

"I'm gonna need you to swallow three of these and drink this." A glass of a purple liquid and three green pills laid in the hand of the blond man. After I reluctantly downed it, and took three swallows, he took the cup back to the counter and continued to prepare some type of medication.

After a couple of minutes, my body started feeling light. The two men were talking, I could see their mouths moving but I didn't hear what they said because it sounded like we were underwater. The brown haired lad held my bruised arm down while the blond injected something into my arm. Almost immediately everything around me started to change.

My eyes strained so hard that it seemed like the walls and floors were moving around. I tried to stand up and follow the men out the door, but that was before I tried to balance myself and ended up becoming dizzy enough to roll on the floor. I felt something warm wrap around my arms as I was being dragged away. Whatever they did to me made my head feel like it was being blown up with air so I squeezed my eyes as hard as I could despite how much it hurt.

Even though I felt like I was being pushed against waves and falling from the sky, I found out I was back in my cell when they laid me against cold bars. I was actually relieved when I was back in it. With my eyes still shut, I laid on the ground and gripped the bars as hard as I could to ensure I wasn't going anywhere. There were a few bright, white flashes from a camera before I saw pitch black and fell unconscious.

---

This time there were 6 men laughing and talking loudly amongst themselves when I woke up. When my eyes focused as best they could with a drug in me, I realized that they were all coming towards me.

"About 18 days I assume?"

"I think if I try hard enough I could get it done sooner. It's only if I had the right tools."

The two men who were speaking fell silent while the others still spoke- too loud for how close they stood. I heard the melodic jingles of some keys. Why were they opening the door? Suddenly I pulled my body to the side and shielded my bruised body from the danger they radiated.

"Don't worry you narcissistic shit." The one opening the door scoffed.

Once they got a hold of the door, it swung open and everyone fell silent. "Well don't just stand there make some damn room." he groaned. Everyone parted ways and made a path. I felt tears welling in my eyes.

A soft angelic whimper echoed in my ears as the men whistled and pushed a girl in here.

I was not alone anymore, and the sound of all the doors shutting, the lights turned off, and the men gone made me realize I wasn't imagining things anymore.

She proved to me I was not dreaming.
