As I was dreaming of god knows what, who can remember, I jolted awake. It felt like I was in a whole different mood than before. Undoing Jade and I's hand, I touched the slightly older blood lines. They were starting to get a little darker and somewhat structured or harder. Dismissing the thought I went back. Again, I joined our hands together, laid as close as possible, and whispered in Jades ears- somewhat hoping she was sleeping, somewhat hoping she was awake- "I love you."

There was some commotion and my heart rate quickened. In the distance every men I have encountered was in this very building. All of them were in the corner with their backs facing us. They seemed to be having some sort of breakfast together and enjoying each other's presence. When I looked around, there were 4 water bottles and a few pieces of toast laying on the ground.

"Jade," I shook her, "Jade wake up."

"I hear people. Are they back?" she stretched.

"Yeah and there's finally some fucking food and water."

"Yes!" she cheered and immediately went to eat. Before I joined her I swiftly took the knife and stuck it in the front of my pants, hiding it from sight.

I took quick gulps from the water bottle trying to quench my powerful thirst. Gulping them down as soon as it touched my tongue barely hydrated my mouth, but felt like a personal pond from paradise against my throat. "Are you gonna drink that?"

Jade looked up from her second piece of toast, resembling a squirrel who found his acorns after months of hibernation. "Um I think I might just have one."

"It's fine I'll just have two." I smiled and this time, took more careful sips so my mouth wasn't as dry. Before I finished it all, I decided to save about half of it in case I needed it later. "How's the toast?"

"When you haven't eaten in forever it tastes like your dick."

"Is that a good or bad thing?" I read her while reaching for a slice of toast myself.

"Try it and tell me." She swallowed and took a mouthful of water.

It took a couple of seconds for the taste to set in but as soon as it did my mouth shriveled up. The toast lacked the warmth and some crunch, and it made my mouth a bit dry again, but it tasted like toast. Too bad there want anything on it. "I found that offensive."

"What?" Jade dragged out, "It tastes really really good."

"Not for me."

Jade opened her mouth to say something but was interrupted by a worker who noticed we joined them for breakfast in isolation from them.

"Hey look!" He squealed pointing our direction.

"It's the love birds!" Another finished, slurring his s. They were obviously drunk.

Everyone who was drunk rushed to us except for the sobers who rolled their eyes and disappeared somewhere else. If they were to see me with a knife then they would surely kill me with it. That alerted me to hide my cut up wrists and the place the knife was at. As if Jade started to remember about the knife as well, her eyes widened to look at me. I nodded her hand to signal it was fine and she relaxed some.

We backed up to the wall furthest from the opening with our breakfast in hand. I wanted to hold her hand and huddle next to her just to comfort her but I couldn't. We agreed we could not share public affection for the sake of our safety. With one knowing it was sure everyone would know, and then Henry could use it against us.

But it seemed that they already knew we were together.

"Little boy and little girl sitting in a tree-" One sang the childish song 5 year old used to offend their friends.

"Oh look at me with my long locks spooning a girl!"

"Are you two going to get married?"

"We got our own Romeo and Juliet over here!"

"Deranged girl and pussy boy." One spread their hands apart like a rainbow.

That made me angry and Jade noticed the rude remark too. Her appearance showed she didn't mind or care, but it's not ok. I don't care they called me a pussy boy, but they called my girlfriend deranged.

"Too bad it won't last long!" The same guy who sang the old childhood love song laughed.

Those words rang in my ears, "...won't last long."

Without any hesitation, I bolted up lightning quick and practically launched in front of him. Odd enough, the one time I am able to stand up to theses bastards, my mind went blank and did what it wanted to. Unknowingly, one hand clutched his white t-shirt and the other was clenched above his face.

"Harry!" Jade called out. Everyone began to chant out 'fight' in uneven tones.

"What did you say?"

He laughed slowly, "what do you mean?"

"You just fucking said, "too bad it won't last long!" Remember?"

"You're a stupid bitch get off of me!"

"What did you mean when you said that?" He smiled and stuck up his middle finger. That was the last straw and I was already starting to swing the best I could, "For fucks sake-"

"Enough!" A loud, demanding voice boomed throughout the room. Before I could make contact I stopped to see Henry. I immediately let go of the man and panic. What if he took me out and found the knife?

"Nathan get the hell over here right now! Everyone else better leave or else."

They all obeyed him, more than half the crowd left, leaving the sobers, Nathan, Henry, Jade and I in the building. Because of the distance Nathan and Henry were from where I was I couldn't hear what they were saying.

"Shit Jade I'm sorry." I ran my hand through my hair and plopped on the ground across from her.

"It fine." She simply said.

"Now what do we do?" I asked referring to our relationship.

"About what?"

"Us. Now they know."

That's when Jade smiled and played with my hands, "I don't care anymore. There's nothing we can do now. Let's just show our...affection."

"I agree." I leaned over to peck her forehead.

We both finished eating while Henry did whatever. Every now and then someone would check on us. Even though I hated how we were left abandoned for a while, I wanted to be abandoned again just because of the freedom we had.

Jade and I were left to talk about anything that wasn't too personal. Surprisingly she has not noticed the thick red lines across one end of my wrist to the other. It was better that she didn't know.

Our conversation about people we knew was abruptly stopped when Henry demanded to see me. Again I was internally panicked but externally I was annoyed. Jade looked shocked but I hadn't gotten a long look once I was pushed to follow Henry. We entered a horribly familiar room- the room I was whipped in.
