Chapter 17

"OMIGODDDD Your soooo lucky!" Grace screams when I tell her the news. I laugh and blush. I couldn't believe it either. We were actually together now.
"You guys are Perf together. He totally likes you," she said. We had just finished eating some fruit at the counter.
"Wanna go up to my room and paint our nails?" I say finishing my last piece of cantaloupe.
She shoveled the last piece in her mouth and we raced up stairs. I pulled down my magnetic nail-polish board and swatch notebook. I write down what nail-polish names and colors look like so we can choose the colors better. Grace scrolls through while I pick out some cotton balls, nail polish remover, q-tips, sponges, and some decorating stuff. Finally she shows me a light peachy pink called "Elephantastic Pink". I nodded and chose a sky blue color called "Daydream Daisy".
We grabbed our nail polish and chattered away about the Olympics, and some stuff in the past.
"Wanna play 5 Questions about each other?" Grace said while painting on her top coat.
I blew on my nails to make them dry, and replied " Sure! I wanna ask you first.".
"Ask away. I'm an open book." She dared.
" Boyfriend, favorite food, dream horse, fav shape, fav color?" I asked first while drawing a daisy design on my ring finger.
"Uhm Yes boyfriend, favorite food is peaches, my dream horse would be a grulla horse, my favorite shape would be a triangle, and fav color is pink!" She said quickly. I laughed and raised an eyebrow. "Who is the lucky guy?" I say. She squirms sheepishly an replies, "His name is Andrew. " I grin and squeal "Tell me the deets Grace!".
"Okay! He has blonde hair, green eyes, and is very funny. Sometimes, he is a sweetheart, other days, he can be an ass. You never know with him, but he's worth it." She said while putting a a white swirl on her nail.
"Your turn" I say while letting my nails fully dry.
"Ooh I got some good ones for you. Okay so what is your fav food, what was your first date like, dream horse, favorite singer and favorite movie?" She asks while drying her nails.
"I love my vanilla tea and peach rings. My first date was with a guy named Jesse Barn. He took me on a cute trail ride and surprised me with a kitten. But in the end, it turns out he was cheating on me, and have my kitten to the girl he cheated on me with." I say weirdly. Grace laughs really hard for a few minutes and wipes tears from her eyes. "I'm sorry that is just SOOO funny. Please keep going" she says snorting up her laughter.
I chuckle and say "My dream horse is in my barn. I love Moonshine to pieces. My favorite singer.... Probably Luke Bryan and Megan Trainor. My favorite movie involved with horses, is probably the Flicka Series." I finish.
We both chatter until my stomach growls.
"I'm hungry. Wanna go in the entertainment room and watch a movie?" I say. Before she could finish, we were both on our heels dashing down the hallway to the entertainment room. I walk in and go to the small kitchen where a mini fridge, and cabinets were filled to the brim with snacks and candy. I reached for some peach rings while Grace grabbed some gummy bears. I pulled out a serving tray and poured some bowls full of cheddar potato chips and helluva good French onion dip. Grace grabbed two cream sodas while I threw in a bag of popcorn. Soon we had a smorgasbord of movie foods and brought It over to the lounge. Grace grabbed the couch, and I hopped In a really comfortable recliner. I pointed the remote at the tv for Netflix and we both decided on the new Flicka 3. Soon we hit play and were watching the sequel about a black horse and a horse loving girl.

We had cleaned the tray of snacks and headed to bed at 10:23. I hopped in my bed, and Grace slept in a sleeping bag on the floor. Soon, we both fell asleep, while I dreamed of a dreamy Walker kissing me all over again.
