It's hard to believe that such a traumatic night could be forgotten so quickly, but with enough time I've learned anything is possible.

The single memory that persists of that night was of my life less, trance like state as I drifted in between thoughts. No one thought in particular just the feeling of terror being prevalent.

My head spun as my eyes focused straight ahead past the trees that hid me. I stared at bloodied corpses being picked up and roughly thrown into a car.

The corpses, as I called them in my mind instead of the names I knew they held, disappeared into the darkness of the backseat of the car.

The girl next to me patted my head lovingly, a reassuring touch but I knew it was full of empty promise. I knew the girl would leave me, she had told me that much.

The star lit sky held in its memory the events of what took place. I often think about it on my long, sleepless nights, what happened under those same stars.

And so this is where the story ends, after it's beginning so long ago...
