Lying
Lying
We all do it
Without even trying
The lies flow like a river
Flowing, flowing
One after another
Without even knowing
When they'll stop
You keep on believing
Even though you should know better
Never leaving
The lies hang over you like a cloud
Like rain
They pour over you
Even if they cause you pain
Which they surely will
You continue to listen
You see that gleam
In their eyes that glisten
You know it's coming
They continue with the lies
And you continue with the believing
It shouldn't take you by surprise
But every time it does
You wish it wasn't true
When one after another
They tell these lies to you
Will you ever learn?
Will you ever cease?
Although you know they won't
You wish for some release
From the lies they spit
Over and over
Again and again
A four lead clover
Or even a penny
Couldn't help with your luckless days
How long will this go on
Before you break away?
Day after day
Time after time
Lie after lie
They're wasting your time
Lies are endless
Lying
We all do it
Without even trying
