Rosettas POV

Even after Cassandra dropped me off the kiss and that little puppy were still on my mind.

It's been two days and it Monday and Cass and I have been spending so much more time together. I've actually been loving it.

Snapping out of my thoughts even though I don't want to I return back to reality.

"Rosetta Logan were you even paying attention" I froze

"No ms." I mumble quietly

"Would you have even known the answer" she continues

"Considering the grade you got on your last test I think you would be putting in more effort" even though I'm on the verge of tears she keeps going

"It was pathetic. In all my years of teaching I've never met a student that put as little effort to get a twenty on a quiz" she scoffed while tears started gliding down my face. I try to do some breathing exercises my therapist taught me for situations like this but nothing is helping. My therapist also tried to teach me that I have worth and I shouldn't let people step on me though it was hard to voice it.

"Do you want to be in this class"

"No" I whisper angrily

"Speak up" she demands then I do something I haven't done in public in a long time. I scream

"No" I yell

She was shocked then put on an even angrier face than before

"And why not. If I don't have a student who is willing to put any effort In then I don't want you here. As well as the fact you'll never need math since you have daddy oh wait no daddies' money."

Gemma then speaks up. If Lilah were in the same class she'd have already yelled at the stupid lady.

"Lay off. So she got a bad score on a quiz so what. At least she's trying and doesn't go past limits of announcing personal thing about you. Like how you're just a bitter ass woman because she recently became divorced. Obviously you don't know how to keep your personal life and work life separate. Also news flash no one wants to be in your class. Also take it from me that hears almost everything that happens in during and around this hell hole. Keep your personal prejudices to yourself." Gemma clapped back

"Excuse me" the teacher asked livid

"What do you mean prejudices" I ask knowing where this was going

"Oh that I was recording my friend for a group project around the school for our film and photography class" gem started directing it towards the teacher " yeah I caught you talking to I don't know who on the phone saying things about Rosettas parents and they are things I will never repeat" Gem said

"You did what" I asked

"Young lady" she yells

"You said what about my dads. It's one thing to insinuate I'm some some spoilt bitch. I can assure you I'm not. I'm working a job to pay for a car all on my own. But you have no fucking right to talk about my dads like that on school grounds. You may have your own opinion but never say it at your place of work not only is it disrespectful but unprofessional."

"Go to the principals office NOW" she demanded

"Gladly. And I'm calling both of my dads " I said in spite

"Also here you go. Since I apparently put no effort into the test I'll put some in now" I said and ripped if up and threw it at her before walking out with Gemma.

"Good job. I'm proud of you and so is everyone else. She had no right" gem said hugging me and I hugged her back while thanking her and the tears still rolling down my face but this time out of frustration.

I then took my phone out of my pocket and called dad first. He answered

"Hey dad"

"Baby what's wrong"

"I need you and papa to come to the school. Something happened with a teacher. I'm going to the principals office now."

"Alright I'll be there. Give me a few minutes and call you papa while I try to convince my captain to leave early"

"Ok" I sniffed and did call papa On the way

When me and Gem arrived at the office we sat waiting to be called in

"Did you find a home for that puppy yet" I ask trying to brighten the mood

"Sadly no" she sighs and then were called in

"Your teacher called me saying you both disrupted her class and you two gave disrespect attitudes and were cursing her out. What happened girls your both exemplary students." The principal asked

"It was all her. She was being very rude and unprofessional towards Rosetta and her dads. I also have recorded her accidentally might I add during a project for my film and photography class saying homophobic slurs." The principal furrowed his eyebrows.

"I'm going to watch the security cameras when both your parents get here. Ok girls and if you still have the video I would like to review it." We nod.

Papa shows up first later followed by dad and Gemmas mom and dad.

"Now I've explained why you're all here and we will review the security tapes to see what really happened." We did and dad and papa hugged me after Dad broke away first

"My daughter has known anxiety. She had no fucking right" he angrily spoke

"Yes and she will be properly dealt with" the principal said anger evident in his voice

And true to his word the very next day she was not in school and we had a sub inform us she won't be coming back. She didn't tell us this but our old teacher turned out to be fired.
