Rosettas POV

"Please you have to let me in. I have to talk to Cassandra" My concern for Cass out weighed my still prominent but lessened fear of people.

"Ma'am the Kaces' are mourning right now no can do" the man at the security gate told me.

"Let her in Isaac" I heard from behind me.

"Yes sir"

"Hi Rosetta Cass is just in her room." Phoenix said as we got through the gate.

"Ok" I sigh

I walk upstairs to her room after Phoenix gave me the directions.

I knock once

Nothing

Then twice and a third time

"Unless you're Phoenix go away I don't want anyone here" she yelled.

I opened the door slightly.

"Not even me" I ask softly

"Rosetta" she whispered shocked to see me

"So should I go or..."I trailed off

"No stay please"

"Ok" I responded and then closed the door behind me once I entered her room

She then flopped onto her bed

"What's going on Cass" I asked her

"What do you mean I'm fan-fucking-tastic haven't you heard" I scoff at her lack of care

"Drop the sarcasm Cassandra NOW. I came here to talk not for any sarcastic remarks." I grit out. My temper streak has grown a bit over the last six months as well.

"What do you want me to say Roe I'm currently on my way down a self destructive path and I'd like to keep it going" she spat out

"Well stop it. I don't want you be destroyed because of it" I say and sit down next to her figure. I then slowly start to run my fingers through her raven locks.

"There dead Rose"

"Who"

"My parents" my body freezes

"When"

"About a week ago. We haven't released details to the public yet. And before that it was because I wanted to give you space after what I did. After I kissed you. But the more space I gave the more I thought I fucked up things with you" she said tears silently sliding down her face.

"Cass you didn't have to give me space. I I tried to call but you never answered. It hurt you know. I-you didn't mess things up with me. It's also partially my fault. I thought you wouldn't want me if I was messed up ya know"

"I'm sorry I never answered I didn't mean to hurt you and I would want you anyway that I could have you" she said sitting up and wiping her cheeks while sniffing.

"I really do like you Rosetta" she said cupping my cheek

I placed my hand on top of hers

"I know. And I really like you too but if we're gonna be ...something to each other I just want to know who you are a bit better that's all and I have to know you won't just disappear on me again okay." I said

"I'll do anything" she said emotions lacing her voice but faltering a bit after

"I know you said that you need to know I won't leave again but can you just stay. Just for a little bit." She pleaded

"Of course" I said and kissed her cheek lighting both my cheeks and hers into a burning blaze.

A/N: hey I know it's a short chapter but I feel like it had more power and meaning if it was this length.
