(Requested by: JotatoKujosWife, I apologize for this taking a bit longer to write, I had four essays due this week, so I didn't have much time to work on stuff. I'm sorry if this didn't end up how you wanted, I'm still very new to taking writing requests. This was very fun to write, I'm a sucker for childhood friends to lovers and really liked the idea of Jolyne having a crush on the reader throughout their childhood. Anyways, I hope this was as enjoyable to read as it was to write.)

Life without Jolyne was duller than what you'd expected. You knew she'd be gone, known that when you both graduated that your paths would diverge. There was also the issue of her being in prison. You'd thought of visiting, you really did, but every time you had decided to try and reach out, life seemed to find a way to keep you from reconnecting.

One tepid night, you found yourself walking through the sliding doors of your local 7/11, it was a quick walk from your apartment and you'd found yourself craving some good old fashioned junk food. Trying to mind your own business while scanning the isles for your go-to snack; a familiar figure caught your eye. You couldn't help but quickly check to see if your mind was playing tricks on you. Lime green braids, hair buns, distinctive tattoo. Somehow, she was here in the flesh. How is this possible? Did she break out of prison or something? You couldn't peel your eyes off the extremely mundane sight of your former childhood friend picking out snacks. She seemed to notice your presence with surprise and excitement.

"Y/N?" You nodded and noticed the warm smile on her face. It'd been so long since you've see her that you forgot what her smile looked like. "How are you here?"

You snickered a little at that. "I was on a snack run Jojo, I should really be the one asking you how you're here."

"Oh yeah..." She scratched the back of her neck. "That ones a long story."

"I've got all night." You replied.

"I don't know how much time I have, we've got to find a safe place to rest for the night."

"We?" You wondered just what your jojo had gotten herself into this time.

She stalled for a moment, "It's probably better if I just show you."

In the time it took to pick out the rest of your snacks and get them rung up, your mind had begun to run wild with possibilities of how she'd got here or who was in the car. You wouldn't have guessed the actual passengers in a million years. When the door swung open, you found a car full of flamboyantly dressed criminals and, perplexingly, a child in the driver's seat. Turning back to look at Jolyne, she had one those awkwardly guilty faces she'd make when she had to explain whatever stunt she'd just pulled. You'd never been the person it was directed at before and you almost started laughing.

"Jojo, I have so many questions."

"I figured, all that I can really say right now is that we're on the run from an evil priest."

How was that even more confusing than her just mysteriously showing up at 7/11? There were so many more questions you wanted to ask, but as you took a glance at the faces in the car, you could see how tired they were.

"You can stay the night at my apartment."

She looked at you, concerned. "Are you sure?" You nodded.

It was a short drive from the 7/11 to your apartment and as everyone exited the car, you could almost imagine that this was just another one of the many times the two of you and your other friends. As soon as the door was unlocked, everyone was rushing in, gazing upon your very humble lodgings in wonder.

"So this is your place." She sighed, relaxing into your beat up, second-hand, sofa. "I missed seeing you y'know. I took seeing you every day for granted."
