Okay, I've decided to write something specifically for myself because man am I lonely. Anyways, this is sort of a modern au. I just want some good and wholesome, slightly cottagecore vibes man.
Really, there weren't any laws preventing you from doing this. Yet, walking barefoot through the dewy grass of your local park, you couldn't shake the feeling like you weren't supposed to be here. A warmth enveloped your hand and your heart fluttered as you realized that it was your girlfriend interlocking her fingers with yours. The simple contact so soothing. Around you, the crickets chirped and lightning bugs flashed their gentle yellow-green glow. Your girlfriend's decision to take you stargazing had been spur of the moment and you didn't bring much with you. Just a couple of blankets and some snacks.
She stopped at the top of quaint hill that overlooked the rest of the park. Gently, you laid down one of the quilts and set down the rest of your things. You were about to sit down, but Erina stood in front of you and curtseyed.
"Care for a dance?"
You smiled and nodded.
Tapping the "play" button on your shared playlist, you gently tossed your phone onto the blankets and let the music play.
Placing your hand on her waist, you began to dance together. Her pale blue dress swishing at your feet with every turn. It'd become a nearly daily occurrence to spin your girlfriend around a couple times in the kitchen area of your apartment while cooking dinner, but doing so now felt so much different.
Starlight sparkled in her eyes as she looked at you. She was like a goddess in the silvery moonlight and you were left speechless. One of her hands moved to caress your cheek, the contact sending your heart aflutter. You leaned into it, looking deeply into her sapphire blue eyes.
"You look so beautiful tonight, my love." She spoke those words quietly, like a secret just for the two of you. Mouth open to contradict her and say how much more beautiful he was, you found yourself silenced with a kiss and your eyes falling closed. When it ended you were still close, foreheads pressed together, noses touching.
"You leave me speechless, Erina, I simply lack words to describe the way you make me feel."
She took hold of both of your hands and you began to spin around again but in a way that reminded you of the games you used to play as a child. You cancelled out her weight and she yours. Just as you began to get dizzy though, Erina fell back onto the blanket and you came tumbling down with her. You laid on your side, watching as she gazed at the wide, open sky. A good hour must've passed as you let your girlfriend point out all the constellations she could find and listen intently as she explained the stories behind them. By the time she'd finished, it'd gotten noticeably cooler and she had begun to shiver slightly. She nestled in closer to you as you pulled the blanket you'd been sharing tighter around her.
"Do you mind if we stay here a little while longer, I'm a bit tired."
"I don't mind at all, love." You whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to her cheek.
As she closed her eyes, you felt fatigue weigh at your own limbs. Taking a nap with your girlfriend did sound tempting.
Author's note: Hoo boy! So, I had like half of this written out and decided it was a fantastic idea to brew a mug of black coffee and stick a bag of chamomile tea in it. It tasted pretty good, but my caffeine-sensitive ass is now too energized to sleep so I decided to finish up this little story. Apparently, Erina's cannon height is like 6ft, and as a 5,1 person, I don't know how to feel about that. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my gay, caffeine- fueled ravings and have a good night/ day wherever you're reading this.
