Holly had always been a good friend to you. She'd moved out to Japan for her fiance to whom she was fully enraptured by. Upon your first meeting she would not stop going on about him and you felt yourself wanting for that. At first you thought you were just lonely, wanting for a person as loving as Holly. Slowly though, it grew into a yearning, not only for the kind of love she had but for her.

There was something so soft and beautiful about her; she was a simple woman who seemed to have everything she could ever want. It was all just slightly flawed though. She had a husband who was barely ever around and she loved him immensely. Her son, an only child had been bullied by his peers to the point of blocking everyone out and still she could see through the walls to the true him. Her closest friend and confidant had fallen hopelessly in love with her.

Dealing with these feelings had been tough but now it really seemed to weigh on you. There was no way to describe the pain in your chest seeing her so sick, barely grasping to life. Hot tears stung in your eyes before they came streaming down your cheeks in cooling streaks. They dropped down onto the floor soundlessly. Your jaw was clenched "So I'm going to die?" tighter than you thought possible, you wanted to wail out in anguish, collapse into a blubbering mess, or finally let her know much you loved her. In the end you did all three in sequence.

She must've awoken at the screaming because when your body stopped quivering there was a hand gently stroking your hair. It was soothing and you brought your gaze up to see her smiling.

"You don't need to cry over me dear."

You sniffled, wiping away hazy tears. "Isn't it stupid though, I've loved you for so long and I'm only telling you new when you're so. Why did I even say any of this?"

"Because you needed to. I wish I'd known you loved me sooner so I could have held you and told you how much I love you too."

"You...love me?" There was another wave of fresh tears threatening to come welling up. She nodded and you felt the weight of keeping years worth of secrets finally vanish. You laughed like you'd never laughed before and stared into her eyes.

"As soon as you are well again I'm going to take you out on a date. How long has it been since your husband took you out?"

She giggled. "Years."

Another year and fall began to roll again, the cherry blossoms littered the ground with their pretty pink petals and it couldn't be more peaceful at the one Kujo now L/N household. Breakfast was amazing, as it always was when you lived with a cook as amazing as Holly. You watched her kiss her son on the cheek and you moved to stand in front of him.

"Have a good day Jojo." You gave him a quick before letting him go. You were more than a little proud to see just the tiniest hint of a smile on his face.
