The Quest for Dimentio

Chapter 6

The duo stepped out of the portal. There was a lot of....white. It was awfully cold. Mr. L had never actually seen snow before. He shivered. Luigi was delighted. "Oh, fun! I love the snow." Mr. L looked over at him. "Um, hello? We're freezing" Luigi smiled. "Oh, it's fine. It's not too bad." Mr. L shivered, "yeah, sure. This is just great." He said sarcastically, only to find that Luigi was completely mesmerized by the snow. "Oh, it's been years since I've played in the snow!" Mr. L looked annoyed. "Are you even listening to-" Suddenly he was it by a snowball. Luigi was laughing. Mr. L shot him a death glare. Luigi apologized. "Alright, alright, sorry. Let's keep moving!" Mr. L scoffed. "Yeah, the sooner we get out of this stupid snow the better."

The place they appeared seemed, weird. They were behind some house. In front of them was a weird room. "The portal we came through must be in that room. I guess it just spat us out here." Luigi said. Mr. L seemed a little confused. "Yeah, but...I don't see the portal anymore. That's so weird. Maybe it was only open for a short amount of time. Like something was controlling how long the portal was open." Luigi shrugged. "The important thing is that we made it!"

The two made their way around the weird house. It looked like they were in a town. There was a big sign that said "Snowdin" and over it there was a banner that said, "Moving day! Everyone Collect Everything You Want to Bring to the Surface. "Luigi looked at it. "huh, weird. Looks like the people who live here aren't planning on staying. I wonder why?" Suddenly, Luigi heard two familiar voices from behind him. 

"SANS, YOU BETTER MOVE YOUR SOCK NOW THAT WE'RE MOVING TO THE SURFACE. I'M NOT GOING TO MOVE IT FOR YOU!" "ok bro, but only because you have been putting so much backbone into this move." "SANS, SERIOUSLY, UGH!" Luigi turned around. Mr. L looked confused. "What, what is it?" Suddenly Luigi took off running. "Sans! Papyrus! I'm so happy to see you!" Luigi ran and hugged Papyrus. "NYEH? ARE YOU ANOTHER HUMAN? HOW DID YOU KNOW OUR NAMES?" Luigi stepped back. "What are you guys doing here? I thought you guys lived in Deltarune!" Papyrus looked confused. Sans was trying to hold in a laugh. "WELL, WE LIVE IN SNOWDIN, BUT EVER SINCE THE HUMAN BROKE THE BARRIER, WE HAVE BEEN MOVING TO THE SURFACE! RIGHT NOW WE'RE COLLECTING OUR STUFF! NYEH HEH HEH!" Luigi looked confused. "Uhh, what?" Mr. L ran over to him. "What are you, whoa whoa WHOA! Are those skeletons??" Luigi turned to Sans. Hey, can I talk to you?" Sans shrugged. "sure thing bud. paps, looks like you're gonna have to pick up my sock for me." Papyrus rolled his eyes. "UGH, I'LL GO GET THE REST OF MY STUFF, BUT I AM NOT PICKING UP YOUR DIRTY SOCK SANS!"

Luigi pulled Mr. L over to Sans. "Uhh, Sans? What's going on? Why doesn't Papyrus remember me?" Luigi asked. Sans smiled. "heh, that's a different paps buddy. you aren't in deltarune. this is undertale. we don't know who you are because we aren't the sans and papyrus you've apparently met in the past." Mr. L interrupted, "Whoa, whoa, wait! Are one of you gonna explain what's going on, because I've never seen you in Deltarune. And Luigi, what the heck. You can't just walk up and talk to random talking skeletons." Luigi looked down. "Sorry, I met a version of Sans and Papyrus in the brighter section of Deltarune, I forgot what you guys called it. They were actually really nice. I thought you guys were them. Sorry for the confusion, heh." Mr. L looked so confused. Sans just responded, "heh, it's no big deal pal, although, may i ask, what are you two?" Mr. L looked over at Sans. "uhh, what?

Sans shrugged. "well, other than the fact that you guys are obviously from a complete different universe based on the fact that you're humans who have been to deltarune, you two are unique. you both have half a soul, and i can tell it's the same soul, but they glow different colors. what's up with that?" Mr. L and Luigi looked confused. "The other Sans said nothing of my soul being split. He just said that it glowed green with kindness." Sans shrugged. "It does glow green with kindness, but I guess he didn't think it was important to tell ya kiddo. However, your double's half on the other hand, appears to have at one point too been green, but it shifted to a fierce red glow of determination." Sans pointed to Mr. L. Mr. L looked confused. Sans winked. "It probably doesn't matter, but it's quite interesting, don't ya think?" Luigi and Mr. L looked at each other. Luigi turned back to Sans. "So you don't remember me at all, but you're still similar to the other Sans in the way that you know all this weird universe stuff." Sans smiled. "yep, sounds about right. sorry we don't remember ya kiddo." Luigi sighed. "That's alright." 

"what brings you two here anyway?" Sans asked. "Following a weird shadow man who took his girl." Mr. L responded. Luigi continued, "I have a map which led us here. Have you seen anyone weird come through here?" Sans looked like he was thinking. "i saw a monster i've never seen before cross by, but i just assumed they were one of the monsters who lived in the ruins or somethin. it looked like they were carrying somethin orange." Luigi turned to Mr. L. "Yep, that's our mystery person! Thanks for your help, Sans! Even though you guys don't know who I am, tell Papyrus I miss him! We have to go catch that guy!" Luigi took started running forward. "Whoa, wait up!" Mr. L called. He started to go after Luigi when Sans gripped him by the arm. Sans' pupils dissappeared."hey, i've got a bone to pick with you." Somewhere in the distance you could here Papyrus groaning because of Sans' pun. "i know your soul type, and while it is powerful, it is dangerous. if you even think about hurting my brother or anyone else, you're gonna have a real bad time" Mr. L frowned. Sans' pupils retured and he smiled. "see ya around buddy."

The two got to a forest, where the fog was really thick. "Wait up, Luigi!" Mr. L called out. "Ah, sorry, I'm just excited to be out on an Adventure like this!" Mr. L caught his breath. "You got some explaining to do. How did you know those skeletons??" Luigi sighed. "Well, when you and Dimentio were first freed from my mind and left me there, I tried leaving the Deltarune file, but ended up falling into the top section, which lead to the section of Deltarune those skeletons lived in. I decided to stay there for a little while because I was scared of making things even worse by going back home." Mr. L looked down. "Oh, right. I guess we did kinda leave you there all alone. Why do you think my soul turned into a different color?" Luigi shrugged. "I guess it started the same color as mine because it was originally my soul, but since you are your own person now, it became your own soul, even if it's just half a soul."
