The Quest for Dimentio

Chapter 9

In the Past:

Just after the events of Super Paper Mario, Bowser was about to make his way home. Everyone else was celebrating together, except Luigi of course,  who felt too guilty to celebrate anything. Before Bowser went onward, he explored the wreckage. "Mario's bro really did a number on this place, huh." He said to himself, laughing. "Guess he really is kinda a threat. Much more powerful than his puny brother." Suddenly, his foot hit something. It was... a book. Bowser picked it up. "The Dark Prognosticus? Hey, isn't this the thing that one guy talked about?" Bowser opened the pages. He read through it. So many things inside. "Hey, this book could help me finally take down Mario and get Peach for real!" He said, as he marched home.

As the months past, Bowser continued reading through the book. He grew darker, and more power hungry as time went on. It was like the book was changing him. The book put new thoughts in his head, a new plan. This new plan involved reawakening Super Dimentio, and all he needed were the right ingredients.

Fast forward to a month after Luigi and Mr. L defeated Dimentio, Bowser knew he needed to find this Jester. He thought that this task would be rather difficult, but it actually proved to be fairly easy, as Dimentio was just moping around. Bowser came across the depressed Jester one day, just out in the woods, and Dimentio didn't even try to resist. It was so strange.

Bowser knew of Dimentio's magic, so he needed to find a place to lock him away so it wouldn't be an issue. The Dark Prognosticus seemed to offer him a solution. It was like the book was speaking to him, telling him what to do and where to go. The book suggested he go to the "True Lab" in a different world. Inside the true lab, there were cells which Limited the magic of the captor. A long long time ago they were used by the old royal scientist, who had been using two skeleton test subjects to try to break the barrier, and he couldn't have them trying to escape using magic. 

It was like Dimentio wasn't even trying to resist. He occasionally moved a little, but Bowser was able to just tie a rope around Dimentio's hands and pull him along as Dimentio floated behind him. 

Once Bowser got to the True Lab, he locked Dimentio up. He had to stay in the secret, lower section since a weird Yellow Lizard looking thing kept coming down to the other area. The Dark Prognosticus helped teach him how to control the portals to other worlds. There were also notes in this lab about the same subject. Many of those notes were written in a different language, but some were translated. With time, Bowser was able to control the portals, as well as the doors in the true lab.

A while later, Bowser had made his plan. He had to get ahold of Luigi and Mr. L. First, he snuck into Luigi's room and left him a book, containing directions on how to make an effective tracking system, knowing that Luigi would immediately jump at the chance to make something helpful. Next, he kidnapped Daisy to get Luigi's attention, and purposely dropped Dimentio's mask to make sure Mr. L would come as well. Then, he led them on a path which would lead them straight to him! He used the Dark Prognosticus and some files he found in the true lab to gain control over opening and closing the portals, and used the cameras to watch them on their journey. Lastly, he planned to take Luigi's soul, Mr. L's soul, and Dimentio's soul, absorb them all, and become a super being. Since the chaos heart was gone as far as he knew, there was no way to truly bring the real Super Dimentio back, so Bowser thought that absorbing their souls and become an all powerful monster would be the next best thing. A mix of Bowser and Super Dimentio. Then, he would be unstoppable. He would be able to take over the Mushroom kingdom, defeat Mario, and have Peach all to himself. And, with his newfound power, why stop there? He could take over any world he wanted!
