Just after the events of "Afraid of Me,"

"Bold to assume that I won't have the last laugh!" Dimentio yelled. The green electricity and flames were circling him, scorching him. He quickly snapped his fingers and teleported away. Far far away. He was in a weird forest. Dimentio gasped for air. It was unlike him to leave a fight like that. He took off one of his gloves. His hand had been badly burned. He felt pain all over.

"L was going to kill me, wasn't he. He was going to KILL me!" Dimentio felt angry, betrayed, heartbroken. "I FREED HIM, AND HE CHOSE LUIGI OVER ME!" Dimentio turned around and tried shooting his new chaos Magic at a tree in anger, but it wouldn't work. It was like it was gone. He was back to how he had been before encountering the chaos heart. "Great, great, GREAT! Now my magic is broken!" Dimentio floated down to the ground. Tears filled his eyes and flowed down his masked face. "L was going to kill me." He said, feeling defeated. He looked down at his scorched hand. Looking at it made it sting, so he slipped his glove back over it.

"L really chose Luigi over me." Dimentio sighed. "I was going to take over the Mushroom Kingdom for us. We would have all the power. He would never have to worry about being in the spotlight again. Why did he choose Luigi over me??" Dimentio's sobs grew louder.

Dimentio wanted to go back. He wanted to finish what he started, but he couldn't find the motivation to do it. "What's the point anymore. Everyone just wants me dead." Dimentio sighed.

Eventually Dimentio set a schedule. Life out here in the woods wouldn't be too bad. He found himself a cave. 8:00 am, wake up. 9:00 am, snap fingers and grab some food from a random shop, 10:00, go out into the woods and cry, 12:00, wonder why Mr. L chose Luigi over him, 2:00, lie down and cry more, 4:00, feel empty inside, 6:00, wonder what the meaning of life is, etc.

One day when Dimentio was out in the woods for his daily crying session, Bowser showed up behind him. "Dimentio, you're coming with me!" "Ok." Bowser looked confused. "Uhh, What?" "ok." Dimentio said. Bowser shrugged. "You aren't gonna, resist or anything?" Dimentio turned to face him, floating up to his eye level. He held out his hands. Bowser shrugged, tied his hands, and pulled Dimentio along.

Bowser brought Dimentio all the way across worlds, down to a weird lab. He had Dimentio float into a cell. Suddenly a field of electricity turned on and Dimentio fell to the ground. "uhh, ouch." He said as he hit the ground. Bowser started talking to him. "Do you know what this is?" He showed Dimentio the Dark Prognosticus. Dimentio had a brief look of shock, but quickly covered it up. "Yep." He walked towards the edge of the cell so he was closer to bowser. "I wouldn't mess with that though. It's not your style." Dimentio tried snapping his fingers and teleporting out, but it didn't work. Bowser laughed. "This cell limits your magic. While you're inside, you cannot use any." Dimentio shrugged. "ok." Bowser looked somewhat annoyed. "Are you just gonna sit there and do nothing? You aren't even trying to resist? I thought you were the worst of the worst." Dimentio smiled. "Sorry to disappoint you." Bowser sighed. "Whatever, I have what I need."

A while later, Bowser came in. Dimentio was lying on his back, with his feet crossed over one another and his arms behind his head. "To what do I owe this visit?" He asked. Bowser looked down at him. "I need something from you." Dimentio laughed. "I have nothing." Bowser smiled. "I need, this." Bowser turned the electricity off. Dimentio turned around, and floated back up into the air. Bowser reached for his mask. Dimentio quickly grabbed his hand. "No. No one touches that." Bowser struggled against Dimentio's surprisingly strong grip, shocked with how quickly Dimentio's attitude changed. "I need it." Bowser replied. Dimentio had a fierce look in his eyes that Bowser didn't think was in him anymore. "Why? Why could you possible need it?" Dimentio asked. Bowser smiled, "Why, how else will I get Mr. L to willingly come here." Dimentio's eyes widened, and for that brief moment, his grip loosened, causing bowser to reach forward and yank the mask up. Dimentio quickly stumbled backwards, covering his face with his hands. He turned away so Bowser couldn't see him. Bowser quickly stepped out of the cell and turned the electricity back on. Dimentio continued to hold his hands over his face as he fell back to the ground, yelling, "Give it back! Give it! I need it!" Bowser laughed.

Bowser smiled, when Dimentio darkly said, still holding his hands over his face, "What makes you think L will come? He won't. He doesn't care enough. If anything, he'll want to finish the job." Bowser smiled. "He'll come. He'll come." Bowser left Dimentio, who was lying on the ground, shaking. "Come back, I need it."
