The Quest for Dimentio

Chapter 15

Luigi turned around to see his brother, wearing a black mask partially covering his face. He was basically dressed as Mr. L, but with red instead of Green. "Mario??" Luigi called out. This was not good. Mario's hands both held red fireballs. He suddenly turned and fired both at Luigi. Luigi was able to dodge, summoning green fire in response. He quickly waved the green away. "I'm not going to hurt you." He could only assume that Bowser sprouted Mario, so if he were to hurt him it would hurt the real Mario. Mario refused to speak. He always was a rather quiet person. 

Mr. L and Dimentio began collecting parts. Dimentio floated above Mr. L. "So, how has life as a good guy been?" He asked. Mr. L looked up at him. "What? I'm not a good guy." Dimentio laughed. "Look at us right now. We are totally being good guys." Mr. L rolled his eyes. Dimentio continued, "So how have you been. Still hanging around with your new best buddy I see." Mr. L looked up at him. "Seriously, are you jealous of Luigi?" He asked. Dimentio suddenly looked really embarrassed. Mr. L laughed. "Heh, you're funny. Yeah, I care about Luigi, but I'll have you know, I spent almost everyday of the past six months searching for you." Dimentio looked over at him. "Really? But you chose him over me. You tried to kill me." Mr. L looked down. "I know. I guess... I didn't know how much I cared until you were gone. I'm sorry. I've spent almost everyday of the past few months trying to make it up to you." Dimentio smiled. Suddenly, out the window they could see a burst of red fire. "Oh no, Luigi is out there!" Dimentio said. Mr. L looked over at him and smirked. "Look at you, all concerned for our man in green."

Daisy ran in. "Hey, sorry to interrupt, but did you see that??" She asked. The two nodded. "We have to go back Luigi up! He could be in trouble!" She said. Mr. L looked down. "But we haven't even started building out machine. We need more time to prepare." Dimentio placed his hand on Mr. L's shoulder. "Come on L, we don't need a machine to beat this guy. Especially with us on the team, we'll be unstoppable!"

Luigi continued to dodge. He knew that trying to get through to Mario wouldn't work. He remembers what it was like to have the Sprout on his head. He had to get rid of it. He had to beat it out, which was pretty difficult, and painful. All the townsfolk had fled, so that made Luigi happy. At least no one else had to get hurt. He kept dodging when suddenly Mario hit him square in the chest with fire, which sent Luigi flying backwards. "Ouch" He said, as he got back up. Mario had no emotion in his eyes. They were just, empty. Luigi stood up. He had to try to get close to Mario in order to rip the Sprout out.

Dimentio's normal magic had for the most part, returned. "Alright, I think I will be able to teleport us three over to Luigi." he said. He raised his hand and snapped his fingers. They appeared right behind Luigi, about 4 feet in the air. Daisy and Mr. L fell to the ground with a thump. "Ah, Sorry." Dimentio said while laughing. Luigi looked over at them. "Guys-" Suddenly he was blasted backwards again. Mr. L got up and ran over to Luigi. "Luigi? You good?" Mr. L helped Luigi up. 

Mr. L moved Luigi's arm over his shoulder to help prop him up. They turned to face Mario. Mr. L saw what they were facing and looked annoyed. "Oh. My. God. He's copying me. I knew I was cooler, but he didn't have to go out of his way to buy a matching outfit and everything. What the heck man?" Suddenly, he sarcastically called out to Mario. "You couldn't even make up your own thing. Lemme guess, they call you Mr. M or something?" Mario said nothing, but continued to stare at Mr. L. Mr. L set Luigi down. "Don't kill him." Luigi said. Mr. L cracked his knuckles. "I won't." Suddenly his hands glowed green with thunder.
