Bahay Pangarap, November 2021
It was already three in the morning, but Digong was still up. He was inside his home office—reading different reports from different government agencies. The room was so quiet as people were already in their deep slumber and only the sound of his desk fan can be heard followed by the occasional noise his electric mosquito swatter produce when it catches insects flying around the room.
He became so engrossed in reading that he was startled upon hearing Senior Inspector Sofia Deliu's knock. He looked at his watch and found out that it was almost 7:00 AM. He carefully placed back the papers he was holding on its pile and asked his female aide to come in.
"Good morning, Sir! Reporting for duty po..."
"Good morning, Ma'am... Hindi ko man namalayan ang oras ba..."
His female aide chuckled a bit and handed him a fresh batch of newspapers. "Sir, remind ko lang po kayo of our scheduled meeting with the new AFP Chief at 3:00 PM today..."
"Uh hmmm," he answered as he was scanning the pages of the Philippine Daily Inquirer. When he was about to flip the page of the newspaper he was reading, the front page of another newspaper, the Manila Bulletin, caught his attention. He immediately dropped the one he was holding and grabbed the other to have a closer look at its front page—the headline was about Leni and her visits to different communities.
"Pasabit-sabit man ang buang..." He chuckled with awkwardness and pretended to scratch his nape as he was looking at Leni's "sabit kotse" pictures.

His female aide just looked down and tried so hard to contain her smile.
Digong put the newspaper down to ask his aide about something.
"Ganito man magkampanya si Leni? Dili man inalalayan ng mga..." He clicked his tongue—a sign that he was annoyed.
"Naka-alalay naman po yata ang PSG sa likod, Sir..." His female aide tried to explain.
He stood up and prepared to walk out of his office. "Gawin mang alas-7 ang meeting kay Centino...Magtulog man muna ako..."
Senior Inspector Deliu opened the door for him. "Copy, Sir... Ipapa-radyo ko na po ito...Anything else po?"
He stopped for a while but did not look at his aide. "Make sure that Leni will also be present..."

Naga City, same day
"Ang ganda naman ng partner ko ngayon..." Nonoy Andaya was not able to contain his admiration for Leni as he saw her walking towards the entourage's line inside the church.
