A/N: Hi, guys! Sorry! Long time, no update. Will just correct the errors if there are any later when I get back home. Enjoy! 😉

P.S. Thanks to my friend for the movie suggestion. Thanks also to KJ for the inspiration. 😂

8:15 PM

Leni glanced at her limited edition black Omega watch - a gift from him. As usual, Digong's late. Their dinner with the committee on National Security was supposed to start more than an hour ago, but he's nowhere to be found.

"Ma'am VP, okay pa po kayo? Gusto niyo po bang kumain na," Executive Secretary Medialdea asked her politely.

She flashed a smile and shook her head as she answered his question courteously.

"Naku, Sec... Okay lang po. Kaya pa po. Hintayin na lang po natin si Pangulo."

She looked at the people in front of them inside the Aguinaldo State Dining Hall in Malacañang and then looked at Secretary Medialdea again.

"Baka po 'yong ating mga bisita ay gutom na... Pwede na po silang mauna... Kayo po, Sec... Mauna na po kayo," she smiled.

The secretary scratched his forehead. "Eh kayo po, Ma'am?"

"Hintayin ko na lang po si Pangulo." She smiled again.

The secretary ordered one of the Presidential Assistants to tell the servers to start serving their dinner.

She was about to reject the food being served to her when one of his PSGs entered the hall.

"The Eagle has landed."

She heard one radioed the others.

"Thanks, God," she uttered and let out a soft chuckle.

She carefully fixed herself - tucked her hair behind her ears and tried to straighten the crumpled lower part of her dress - and asked the server to leave one more plate of food for him.

The people inside the hall stood up upon his arrival.

"Good evening, everyone! I am so sorry that I am late." An apologetic look was plastered on his face. He also looked a little bit weak. His close-in security guided him to his designated chair which is beside her.

She was hoping to catch him looking at her, but she failed because he was looking down. She was a bit bothered because he kinda looked pale that time.

She extended her hand when he reached his spot, but instead of shaking it, he touched her upper back lightly - as if motioning her to sit down while he was still shaking the other people's hands.

When he was finally done, he said, "Good evening, Ma'am!"

She controlled herself not to smile widely upon hearing his voice. It somehow made her feel secured and relieved that he is okay.

"Good evening, Sir!"

He settled himself on the seat beside her after she was seated. He brought out his plain white handkerchief to wipe off his slightly sweaty face and hands.

"Kain man tayo, Ma'am?" He gently pushed her plate nearer to her.

"Sige."

He was about to cut his chicken when she stopped him. He looked at her and asked, "Gusto mo itong pecho?"

She chuckled. "Hindi... Hindi pa lang kasi tayo nagdarasal."
