The lawyers inside the Dining Hall stood up as Digong entered the premises. Most of them made their way to shake the President's hand.

"Pasensya man kayo... Nalate man ako," he apologized.

It was 9:00 PM. Their dinner was supposed to start at 6:30.

"Maaga pa nga 'yan... Kapag ako nag-ano sa mga... Itanong mo man sa kanila... Talagang ano..." He continued talking. "Wala... Ako pinaupo ninyo... Late na nga ako dati, mas late man ako ngayon... Anak ng..."

The lawyers laughed.

"It's okay, Sir. Wala pa rin naman po si VP Leni," one of the association's lawyers said.

Digong smirked.

"May pinuntahan man yata ang babae... Saan man 'yon, Bong?"

Bong whispered something to his boss.

"Doon man sa Angat Buhay ba... Mag-speech man yata siya doon." He smirked again. "Siya man ang ano ngayon... Siya man ang hintayin..." His brow furrowed. "Alam niyo... 'Yan mang si ano... Nagtatampo man 'yan sa... Dili ko man alam kung bakit... Basta hindi man siya... You know girls... Hindi man sabihin kung bakit."

The people chuckled. They talked for a few more minutes before Bong announced the arrival of Leni.

A sudden glow was seen on Digong's face upon hearing the arrival of his Vice President. When she entered the place, he was the one who first stood up. He walked towards the entrance of the hall to greet her.

She just smiled and took his hand. He escorted her to her assigned seat and bowed his head while walking to his seat. Once he was settled, he looked at her direction and talked to her - her seat was opposite to his.

"Nagtatampo ka man, Ma'am?"

The people inside saw how shocked she was that time. She didn't answer immediately, but she bowed her head. She also smiled before chuckling softly.

"Hindi, Sir... Bakit naman po ako magtatampo?"

Digong comically pretended to doubt her answer.

"Sus! Nagtampo ka... Huwag na tayo Ma'am mag-ano rito..."

She finally looked at him. "Hindi nga... Hindi na."

He chuckled. "Matanda man ako... Marami rin akong ano.... Hindi... Alam ninyo 'yan... Marami man akong naging girlfriend, pero... Ambot! Hindi ko man alam kung galit man sila o..."

The people, including Leni laughed at him.

"Dili ko man sabihin na girlfriend ko si Ma'am... Ang sinabi ko man, marami man akong ano... Kayo pa namang mga tao... Lalo na ang media... Masyado man magbigay ng malisya sa mga ano ko," he scratched his forehead, "baka bukas ang mabasa niyong headline... Duterte at Robredo, mag-jowa! Mag-rally man ang mga Dilaw niyan! Paktay man!"

The crowd went a little wilder. Some even clapped their hands because of what he said, but Leni remained looking down - a shy smile can be seen plastered on her face.

"Tama na... Baka ano ang... Nahiya man si Ma'am... Baka ano na naman siya..."

She raised her head and looked at the lawyers around them. She bit her lip as a sign that she's tensed. He was caught throwing a final glance at her before they fomally started their meeting.
