Digong's POV

Digong and Leni took the former's car to go to San Andres. They were with Bong Go and Delfin Lorenzana. It was supposed to be a short trip, but the silence seemed to make it longer - which made Digong slightly uncomfortable since he's not used to that kind of silence. He looked around him and saw that both Del and Bong were too busy with their smart phones, while Leni's just looking outside. He tried to break the silence by talking to Leni.

"Kumusta ang US, Ma'am?"

He knew that she didn't see it coming as she was startled with the sound of his voice.

She slowly raised her head and looked at him.

"M-mabuti naman, Sir. Nakakatuwa yung snow." She smiled shyly before looking down again. She started massaging her own hand - a sign that she's anxious, he thought.

He nodded. "That's great. Buti nakaya mo man ang lamig..."

She seemed to recall what happened during their family vacation. "Naku, sobrang lamig nga. Ilang patong yung suot ko, pero ang lamig pa rin. Yung mga bata tuwang-tuwa, especially sila Nathalia and Afo. First time nila kasi maabutan yung snow."

"Nakita ko man sa post ni Jill doon sa gram-gram ba 'yon? Kaya lang bakit wala ka man picture doon?"

"Instagram, Sir," she said while laughing softly.

"Yun man, basta sa gram... Wala ka man picture?" He said while touching his right cheek.

"Meron naman... Hindi lang in-upload nila Jills para iwas issue na raw..." She smiled a little - still massaging her hand, but not with the same pressure as earlier.

He knew that she's still not that comfortable, but he still tried to talk to her more - thinking that it will ease the slight tension between them.

"Kumusta na mga bata ngayon? Si Jillian? Nabasa ko man yung issue tungkol doon kay Badoy..." He saw a hint of sadness in her eyes when he mentioned the issue about Jillian's controversial school project.

She sighed before answering him. "Okay naman si Jills. Sabi ko nga, sa lahat ng mga anak ko siya yata ang pinakamatapang. Sabi niya nga sa akin na huwag na lang namin patulan, pero siyempre dahil ako, nanay ako, hindi ko mapigilan malungkot dahil pati yung mga anak ko nadadamay na."
