"Hey where were you" Addison asked as Derek walked into their house.

"Out" Derek grumbled.

"Out?" Addison asked as she raised her head to look at him.

"That's what I said."

"So you spend the whole night 'out' and all I get when I ask you where you were is 'Out?'"

"Yup" He said giving her a fake smile.

"Hmm fine." She got up to give him a quick kiss on the cheek before he went to bed. "What's that?"

"What's what?" Derek responded exhaustedly.

"That smell?"

"What smell."

"It smells like flowers. Why do you smell like flowers?"

"Oh um. The person I was out with must have smelled like flowers."

"You were out with someone who smelled like flowers?"

"Apparently."

"You were out with a woman?"

"Men can smell like flowers too."

"I know because you are currently a man who smells like flowers. You were out with a man who smells like flowers?"

"No. I was- I was out with Dr. Grey."

Addison had an astonished look on her face, "You went out with your intern?"

"She is my friend."

"I bet she is."

"Addison."

"What did you do together."

"We saw a movie."

"Ah so you could get your intern to get you off in the back of the movie theatre."

"Addison that didn't happen. We saw the movie as friends."

"Then why do you now smell like her."

"I don't know. I was sitting next to her for two hours."

"Whatever."

"Addison do you really think I would cheat on you?"

"I don't know. You are taking your intern out on date when you haven't taken me out on a date in years."

"Well would you want to go to the movies and eat popcorn?"

"No."

"So that's maybe why I didn't invite you."

"Derek."

"Look Addison. You made me leave New York, move across the country, and you didn't even give me a good reason. Please just let me spend time with my friend."

"I MADE US LEAVE BECAUSE I ALMOST CHEATED ON YOU. Ok? Are you happy?"

Derek looked at her for a few seconds.

"With who?"

"What?"

"Who did you almost sleep with?"

"Mark."

"So you wanted to sleep with my best friend. Real classy. Mark would never had done that anyways."

"You're right" She lied. Mark Sloan very much so would have slept with her if she let him

"So you dragged me across the country because you couldn't keep it in your pants around my best friend?"

"I dragged us across the country because our marriage isn't doing well. I hoped that with space we would get back to a good place."

"So let that happen. Why are you yelling at me?"

"Because you spent all night with that intern!"

"You never got upset when I hung out with friends in New York."

"Because you didn't want to sleep with your friends in New York."

"But you did." 

Derek turned around and marched upstairs. Addison fell back on the couch, exhausted by their fight.

The next day, Addison saw Meredith doing paperwork in an empty conference room.

"Hey Dr. Grey."

"Hi Dr. Montgomery-Shepherd" She responded nervously.

"I have a question. It's not a good question and I am not sure if I want to know the answer and I definitely don't want to ask it but I have to ask it so I am just going to ask."

They both paused and looked at each other.

"Are you sleeping with my husband."

"No. Never."

"Ok good. Thank you." Addison started to walk away from her,  "Meredith, please don't sleep with my husband."

Meredith stared back at this woman and was unable to say anything. She couldn't say she wouldn't because that was the one thing she was dying to do. She needed to do. But she also couldn't say no to this woman, who stood there, begging her not to sleep with her husband. She felt as though she was the worst person in the entire world.
