The mall

Ophelias POV:

We've been at the mall for like 5 minutes, it's crowded but enough to bare, Eli is walking beside me, our sides bump every so often, our hands close together but not touching.

Hold his hand keeps ringing through my mind, I'm getting anxious.

"Hey, let's go to the arcade" Eli recommends, I look over to the direction of the arcade.

"Okay," I say slowly grabbing his hand leading him to the arcade, he looks down but doesn't say anything he just smirks, we push through people, making it to the arcade doors, I let go of his hand, he looks down, slightly frowning.

His fingers touch my hand, I look down and back up, He's slightly smiling at me. He grabs my hand taking me by surprise and we walk into the arcade.

"Hi how can we help you?" A teenage girl with purple hair asks. She was looking at Eli the entire time. Not saying I was jealous or anything, we aren't together, we're just friends I remind myself.

"We'd like to get coins" Eli states, looking down at me smiling. With his free hand he grabs his wallet. Pulling out a 20 dollar bill, handing it to the girl.

"Okay here you go, wait quick question" She asks, causing me to look her up and down, "can I have your number?" Eli looks at me then back at the girl. I shrug my shoulders. What am I suppose to do.

"Um, I'm actually here with my girlfriend" he says catching me by surprise. I look over at her, seeing her face turn into jealousy she looks at me and rolls her eyes walking to the break room.

"Girlfriend?" I questioned, we were walking by the air hockey game. Still holding hands. He looks down at me.

"I didn't want her number and what better excuse then having a girlfriend" He admits, "lets play air hockey"

"Ill win" I assured, we stopped holding hands, he puts the quarters in the machine.

"Yeah right, princess" He confidently says, I walk to the right side while he walks to the left.

"Why didn't you want her number, she's hot," I say hitting the slider he blocks sending it my way.

"Not my type, plus I have my eyes on someone," He says blocking the slider again sending it my way.

"Oooo" was all I said before scoring a point. In reality I was in my feels, I think I'm starting to like Eli or I've always liked him more as a friend since the Halloween party.

"What about you, do you have your eyes on someone?" he questions, I shift uncomfortable not enough for him to notice, the arcade was dark.

"Yea I think so" I hesitated, he smirks sending the slider into the hole scoring a point. Winking at me.

"Are you coming back to karate?" I questioned, hitting the slider once again.

"Yea, I really like it, I'm not gonna just give up" He assured, I had a huge smile on my face.

"Good" I remarked, the timer ran out, Eli won.

"What was that princess?" Eli boasted, I playfully rolled my eyes.

"Whatever you just got lucky" I say playfully hitting his shoulder. Eli chuckled, we walked over to the next game.

After spending like an hour in the arcade, I wanted to go shopping.

"Lets go shopping, I need new clothes." I say looking over at Eli who just finished playing basketball, we already ran out of quarters anyways. He sighs walking over to me.
