~Chapter 11~

Ophelia's pov:

He started climbing up the ladder, I looked up in disbelief.

"Where are you going?" I semi shouted stepping closer to the ladder.

"Just follow me" Hawk shouted back reaching the top.

I climbed up. We were on the roof now. I walked over to him. He was seated on the edge of the flat roof, looking down. The sky was dark but it was far away from any lights so you could see the stars. I looked up in amazement.

"This is beautiful" I whispered, taking a seat next to him.

I looked off the building at my dangling feet. We're about 40 feet off the ground not that high up. I looked off into the distance to see fields of corn, and farmland. Hawk moved his arm to my shoulder.

I look over at him.

There was a light pole by the playground sending a little light our way. The light glistening off his eyes.

We talked about random things, looking at the stars. Hawk used to love space, he and Demetri use to stargaze when they were little apparently. We now were laying down on the roof just looking up at the stars.

We sat in comfortable silence for a little while Until Hawk broke it.

"Can I ask you something?" Hawk asked, looking into my eyes.

"Yea?" I wondered, staring back at him.

"Why were you so nice to me when I was a loser?" Hawk pondered, looking back at the stars.

"Because you didn't deserve to be treated poorly, I like both sides of you. I love how sweet you are and I also love how outgoing you can be" I ranted kinda admitting looking away at the view, my heart was beating fast. From my peripheral vision, I could see him smiling. My hands were laying on my stomach.

He sat up grabbing under my chin, his fingers were cold sending chills through my body. Gently turning my head to look at him. I propped myself up on my elbows.

"Can I admit something?" He breathed, leaning closer. We still had a bit of space between us which bothered me. I nodded my head slowly, it was eating me away I needed to know what he was going to say.

"Look I know we have only been a thing for about a day, but I feel like if I don't ask you this now it's going to be too late." Hawk took a deep breath hesitating. "Would you like to be my girlfriend?" My eyes opened in shock, he sat with an eyebrow raised biting his cheek.

"I would love to" I chuckle. He leaned closer, our lips connected, moving in sync. We stayed that way until we ran out of oxygen.

We pulled away, I had a smile on my face, Hawk was grinning. He laid back down.

"Come here" He whispered, I obligated.

Laying my head on his chest staring up at the moon now.

"Did you and Miguel work things out?" Hawk questioned playing with my blonde hair.

"Yea actually, he's just angry at the world" I admit drawing circles on his stomach.

"That's good, what's going on with you and Your brother Robby, I saw the way you look at him when you two were fighting" Hawk hesitated.

"I hate him and it's not even his fault, it's my mother's" I mumbled.

I ended up explaining the whole situation.

"you should talk to him, I know you don't want to. just hear him out." Hawk tries to explain.

I take a deep breath maybe he's right. no I know he's right I know it's not Robby's fault and I know I should stop being an ass to him.

"you right" I sigh. I left my phone in the car so I don't know what time it is. a gust of wind blows through my hair, I look over at Hawk he's smiling looking at the view.

"what are you smiling at?" I chuckle.

"You" he simply replied.

My stomach was doing backflips. He makes me feel different. When I was with Kyler he never made me feel this way it was more of awe he's okay. But with Hawk is more like my daylights up when he's around.

We sat in silence enjoying each other's company starting at the sky. It started to get windy.

"It's getting late, I don't want sensei to hate me too much, let's get home" Hawk sadly says propping himself up on his elbows.

I sat up.

"Yea" I mumbled standing up.

We headed to the car, my eyes felt heavy. I'm so unbelievably tired.

I must have fallen asleep, on the car ride because I woke up to Hawk slightly nudging me. I looked over at him.

"I drove to my house, cause I didn't have a ride and I didn't want to wake you" Hawk explains handing me the keys.

"Okay," I say stretching. Opening my door to go to the driver's side.

He opened his door. Walking towards me, giving me a quick peck.

"Goodnight, Princess" He whispered looking into my eyes.

"Goodnight Hawk" I smile, he walks into his house.

I get into my car and drive home.

Once I reach the front door, I hear people talking. Does my dad have company?

I walk to the door, slowly opening it.

I looked in disbelief, I saw my grandfather drinking a beer with my father.

"Grandpa Kreese?" I questioned, I call him by his last name.

He leans forward placing his beer on the rusty coffee table.

"How's my favorite grandchild," He says standing up.

I chuckle hugging him.

"I'm your only grandchild," I say squeezing him. It's true I am, we don't count Robby because well you know.

"So I've heard about you being in karate, how's that going," He says pulling away.

"It's been going good, when did you get here?" I questioned with a big smile on my face.

"He got here tonight, he wants to check the dojo out" My father chipped in taking a sip of his beer.

"I saw the video of you at the tournament, I'm impressed. But you could be better." He boomed sitting back down.

"Thank you, so are you going to co-teach the dojo?" I questioned walking into the kitchen.

"It's up to your father" He mumbled.

"I don't know yet kid." My father grumbles. I nod my head.

"Well goodnight, I'm exhausted." I semi shout heading Into my room, paying them one more glance.

I got ready for bed, changing into comfortable clothes, as soon as my head hit the pillow. I was sound asleep.

I started writing a new book yesterday.

I'm still posting this one of course.

Chapters will be 1000 words each so that way I can post more frequently.
