After we got ready, I and Ashwin headed into the hall. We heard Sam stand up and say, "Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome Mr. and Mrs. Ashwin Kumar." Ashwin twirled me in and led me to the head table with our CWC team, parents, and friends. I noticed that Sam and Pugazh would be sitting to Ashwin's right while Pavi and Rithika Akka will sit next to my left. I noticed that there was one seat left with a picture of my grandmother with a candle. I looked up at my husband and asked, "What's this?"
"I thought that since you missed your grandmother a lot doing this would make you feel better," he smiled and said and I gave him a peck. I couldn't be prouder that I married this guy. He handed me a lighter that was sitting on the table. I took a deep breath when I heard my twin say, "Let us, please have a moment of silence for the memory of Sivaangi's grandmother." I lit the candle and whispered, "I miss you, grandma, wish you were here."
As Ashwin and I took our seats, I leaned over kissing him on the cheek saying, "Thank you, Mr. Ashwin Kumar."
"Anything for you Mrs. Ashwin Kumar," he whispered back smiling. We ate dinner and talked with everyone laughing and reminiscing about our moments during CWC 2 and other special moments. My dad even thanked Ashwin for his acknowledgment of my grandma.
After dinner, we made up to our stage, and all our friends and family congratulated us. It was soon time for our first dance, and we decided to dance to Shades of Kadhal.
As we moved around the dance floor, I stared into Ashwin's eyes and couldn't believe he was now my husband. I loved being in his arms, it felt like we were in our own bubble of love. Once the song ended, it was time for the father and daughter to dance. My dad chose Kannaana Kanney.
As my dad held me in his arms, he smiled at me and said, "You don't realize how proud I am of you, my baby girl. Ashwin is a good man, and I am happy you found him." Being in my dad's arms and realizing how everything was changing we both started tearing up. As he pulled me close to him so I could rest my head on his chest.
