A/N: Prepare for mayhem, blood, gore, and mayhem!
(Normal pov)
Mala and Atali led their group of Defenders and Wingmaidens through the forest to regroup with their elite warriors who would be attacking the enemy's sides, assuming they fell into Hiccup's trap. The air was filled with the cries of battle and it echoed throughout the forest, telling the group of dragon sympathizers that their sworn lords' plan was now in motion. Touching down on the ground, Mala and Atali urged their companions to keep up with them as they sprinted through the dense forest to regroup with the rest of the elite warriors. Finally, the two women and their companions rejoined their brethren and peeked through the thick bushes to lay eyes on tens of thousands of foreign warriors attempting to plow through Haddock's shield wall.
"By the gods, the enemy will overrun Hiccup if we don't help!" Minden exclaimed.
Atali turned to her fellow Wingmaiden and hissed out. "Speak louder and see us undone!" Minden lowered her head in submission to her superior while also ushering words of apologies. "We will help Hiccup," Atali reassured Minden and those around them, "but only when he gives the signal for us to attack."
"This must be timed perfectly," Mala added, "the enemy is focused solely on Hiccup and believe they have the advantage, the enemy's hubris will be their downfall. Prepare yourselves, when the signal to attack comes, death will swiftly follow."
(Hiccup's pov)
The full fury of the foreign nations my Red Maw has broken and shattered throughout the last two decades crashed down upon us like a tidal wave that threatened to wash us away in an ocean of blood and death; these peoples and the lands they hailed from were driven by burning hatred and the desire of vengeance to destroy me and my empire and regain what I have taken from them throughout my many campaigns— wealth, resources, and their own people who now stand as slaves. They seek to destroy what I built from the ground up and they seek to strike the Scandinavian people from history.
I will not let that happen.
As the enemy began to push us back, I turned to my companions and those who stood with me on the front lines and barked out at them. "Hold the line! HOLD!!" As we stood firm in the face of overwhelming odds, the enemy's blades managed to slip through the exposed spots in our shield wall and kill several of my men, if the front line was to fall then the enemy would have us by the throat.
"Keep the wall tight!!" Alvin roared out as he thrust his sword through the stomach of a Mongrel warrior, before quickly raising his shield back up and locking it in place to hold back several more Mongrels attempting to break through our wall.
Dagur let out a cry as a sword struck him in the thigh, he then slammed his battle-ax into an enemy's neck and then proceeded to hack their head off. "ARGH!!! That the best you can do?!!" He then quickly raised his shield and stood his ground, I then used my plasma to quickly cauterize Dagur's wound, causing him to snarl out in pain and nod at me in thanks. Suddenly, a massive Mongrel advanced and grabbed my shield and yanked it out of my hands, but not before grabbing me by the throat and throwing me towards the sea of enemies, causing them to spread out as I touched down on the ground.
"HICCUP!!"
As the enemy continued their advance, I laid eyes on the Mongrel who ripped me out of the front line. He was a dark-skinned Assyrian that looked more like a ferocious beast rather than a man. His head was shaved of all but the small beard on his chin, he was armed with a ferocious war hammer and a large shield and he roared like a ferocious dragon; eager to devour anyone who stood in his path.
"I am Dagan! Wrath of Assyria! Look upon me with despair Hiccup Haddock!"
He then swung his hammer at my head, but I ducked underneath his vicious swing as I made attempt to reclaim my sword and shield, but Dagan grabbed the back of my neck and lifted me off the ground with one hand, and slammed me down on the ground multiple times. My ears were ringing, vision turned foggy, and my head throbbed in agony at being handled like I was nothing. As Dagan attempted to slam me against the ground again, I delivered a ferocious kick to his face, causing blood and spittle to fly out of his mouth as he released me. The Mongrels surrounding me soon lashed out, but I would not fall so easily.
