Emma felt chills run down her spine as she heard Mama's voice, she froze up as she stared at the older woman before a hand landed on her shoulder.
"Smile, Emma." Norman said, giving her a warm smile as if what they witness yesterday was nothing but a bad dream.
"Norman..."
"Listen, you have to smile or else mama will suspect us of going to the gate yesterday." He said, Emma mustered a smile just as the normal H/C haired girl bust into the room, Ray running after her.
"Y/n! Give it back!" He yelled anger as he followed the girl only for her to hold the book above her head, "it's not funny!"
Just as she was going to tease him about his height, she tensed up at the voice of Isabella who gave her one of her scary smiles.
"Y/n...give the book back to Ray." She instructed as the girl flinched, her eyes wide with fear as she shivered.
Emma and Norman watched from afar in horror, scared that Y/n had no idea who mama was truly as the girl, who held her lips in a pout, gives the book back to Ray who huffs in annoyance.
"Y/n, who you mind helping me in the kitchen?" Mama asked the girl who nodded her head immediately. "And none of your tactics young lady."
Y/n only sighed in disappointment, "I promise, mama."
They both walked past Emma and Norman who greeted them. "Good morning, Mama, Y/n!"
Norman waved at Y/n who simply grunted in response. "Good morning, Y/n."

After their daily tests, they were free for the rest of the day as Emma and Norman went into the forest to discuss between themselves.
Y/n stayed with Ray, who was still annoyed for what she did during breakfast. "Come on, Ray. Did you notice that I haven't tripped or hurt myself today! Maybe my luck is changing, I'm grace and beauty from today on!" She said with sparks in her eyes, holding a fist up.
"You're not grace or beauty, you're clumsy and annoying." Ray said with a monotone voice, not bothering to spare a glance at the girl who froze up hearing this, arrows piercing her chest from his words, blood dripping down her lips as she weakly turns her head to him.
Holding out a shaky hand to him, "n-ne...you don't really mean that....do you?" She asked.
"I meant every word." He replied as the girl fell to the side, more blood gushing out from her mouth, unable to take his honestly about her.
She stayed silent before she looks up as a shadow cast upon her shaking figure, with her eyes closed, a single line of blood dripping down her lips. "Mama...."
She flop down to the ground, unable to finish her sentence as Isabella quickly kneeled down before her small figure.
"Y/n...what's wrong?" She asked, placing a hand on her back.
"Ray...said I'm not graceful and I'm not beauty....that hurt...." She muttered to her, turning her head to look at mama before giving up, her face buried in the grass as Isabella giggles.
"I'm sure Ray didn't mean that at all," she reassures the petite girl before glancing at Ray who was reading his book.
"He does though."
Isabella sighed, a small smile on her lips, "then Ray must be blind to see how beautiful you are."
Y/n looked up at this as she continued. "I know very well that you and your brother were the cutest children in the house. Ray might not see it but I'm sure Norman would tell you how beautiful you look-"
