Another day at the Grace Field Orphanage, everyone was getting ready to go outside for the day and play. Emma ran outside the door, holding a ball in her hands as she ran past Ray and their caretaker before her name was called.

She looked back to see the older woman gesturing her to come closer. She approaches the woman who starts to straighten up her collar, "you're collar was winked." She pats it down before giving her a smile. "There we go, run along now."

Emma gave her a smile, "thank you mama! I'll see you later!" She waved goodbye at her, running away as she looked at Ray. He gave her a knowing look as she nodded.

The raven-haired boy moves his gaze to the tree where he would usually be underneath and spots Y/n along with a few younger children sitting around her.

She looks happy as she held a gently smile as her lips move in a gentle movement. Her eyes were slightly open as she speaks to the small children who listen.

He walks closer to the small group, making sure not to alert anyone who was busy paying attention to the (h/c) girl. He stands a few feet away from them, just enough to hear what she was saying but he was surprised to find out that wasn't speaking but singing softly to them.

'Atop the crags and cliffs the air is thin
So we'll find a mountain path on down the hill.' She sings softly, although there were children surrounding her, her eyes seemed to hold a distant look which held sadden.

'Meet me where the snowmelts flows' She continues on, before her eyes met with Ray's who was staring at her and neither of them broke eye contact as she continued. 'It is there, my dear, where we'll begin again.'

The look in her eyes made him stare at her even more, he couldn't bring himself to lol away until she looked away.

"Well? How was that?" She asked the kids as they stared at her in awe. "That was pretty!" Phil said as he raised a hand beige the other children joined in.

"Yeah!"

"You sing so good!"

Krone, who was nearby heard everything, she couldn't help but feel at ease from hearing Y/n sing this innocent song. It brought back the feelings she felt when she was younger and innocent about how  cruel reality is outside the walls around the plantation.

She couldn't help but feel bad but she couldn't step back from her plan to get get rid of the girl in order to process to take down Isabella.

'I hope you can forgive me some day, Y/n.' She walks towards them, Ray had left a few moments before so she was in the clear.

Y/n seem to have notice her coming and looked up at her with a smile, "is there something you wanted Sister Krone?"

Krone smiles, "I was wondering if you want a cup of tea? It can help with your sore throat after singing. How about it? I can make you a cup if you like."

Y/n thought for a bit before nodding her head "sure! My throat does feel a bit sore since it's been a while since I've sang for a big audience. I appreciate it, Sister Krone."

"Of course, I'll be right back." She turn to leave before looking at the girl who seemed to notice this. "Oh, your singing is beautiful by the way."

Her (e/c) eyes widened a bit from hearing this, before they relaxed, she gave her a genuine smile. "Thank you. I'm glad you liked it."
