Today...was a boring day. You didn't even bother Ray during breakfast since you were so absorbed into reading your book.
Mama didn't seem to mind you reading at the table, since she knows that you hate eating so early in the morning and lets you skip it.
After getting a full scores on the tests, you were all allowed to got outside and play and you declined anyone who approached you, asking you to join them in their games. You were too busy enjoying the story, even if you already predicted what would happen next, you still wanted to enjoy seeing it play out.
Just as you in the middle of reading the last chapter, you took notice of Norman and Emma acting strange again and you thought it was weird. You often thought of telling mama but you shrug that off, they were sooner or later going to tell you why they were acting like this so you didn't bother going to them.
"Y/n!" Glancing up from the page, you saw Phil running towards you with a huge, adorable smile on his face. "Mama wants to talk to you!"
Ray glanced at you, which made you look at him before looking back at Phil. Giving him a smile, you got up and patted your skirt down. Even though mama said you was able to wear some pants, it's not that you dislike skirts but they're uncomfortable to move in during tag and climbing trees which is totally uncool.
"Thank you, Phil." You pat the child before he laughed, running off to go play with the other kids. You approached mama who smiled at you, holding something behind her back as you looked at her confused.
"You wanted to see me?"

Ray was sitting down at the library, he was reading a book next the H/C haired girl who was silent, which he found very odd since she was usually ranting about literally anything.
He glanced over and almost fell back since she was already staring at him with her eyes filled with mischief as he slowly backed away.
She crawl close to him, leaving her book aside as he backed away, the grin on her lips growing as she corner him.
"R.a.y." She said, as he began to sweat. "You read mostly all the books in the library, haven't you?" She asked.
He looked at her a bit confused, but still answered. "It's true..."
She stayed quiet, multiple thoughts running through her mind and almost looked like she wanted to say something but decided against it. She backed away and Ray sighed in relief, watching as she plop back on the ground.
"Was there something you needed?"
She shook her head, "it doesn't concern you, forget I asked." She said, her eyes stayed look on the floor, a serious look in her eyes before sighing. She mumbled something he couldn't quite hear so he brushed it off.
"Anyways....the only books I still have to read are the ones you got from mama."
She looked up at this, all seriousness gone without any traces as she grinned at him. "Oh? And what makes you think I'll let you read them?" She teased.
She held the book closer to her and moved away from the raven haired boy as an irked mark appeared on his head.
"Mama gave these to me as a gift for somewhat acting good and not causing too much trouble-"
"Still-"
"Nope~ Plus, I'm not even done with it, mama still has a whole bunch of volumes she needs to give me and I don't want my books getting ruined so fast."
They stared at each other afterwards, Ray felt his cheeks heat up from Y/n looking at him with such tender eyes, a soft grin on her lips.
He studied her face, her eyes were the a perfect shade of E/C with a hint of brown and the usual bang that would cover the right side of her face, was pinned back like it usually is with white bandages covering the area, as the rest of her long H/C was tied in a high ponytail as it flowed down her back perfectly.
Her twin brother and her were basically a mirror of each other, their personalities, what they hated and liked, everything.
She was indeed taller than him, only a bit but she would always tease him about. Although she was very clumsy person (or that's what they thought) and always getting hurt, always saying how she couldn't wait to see her brother again which always broke his heart, his guilt grew.
Her intelligence payed for it, some even say that she's unpredictable at times and they weren't wrong.
She even beat Mama at chess at a young age and sometimes it was a tie.
It scares him.

"Mmmm~" Soft humming as heard in the babies room, Y/n was helping putting the babies to sleep when the door opened.
Looking up from the baby in her arms, she saw Isabella enter and close the door behind her.
She called out the girl's name, who approached her confused. She now stood in front of her, careful not to wake the sleeping baby in her arms as Isabella kneeled done to her size.
"Y/n, dear, you haven't noticed anyone acting out of the normal? Perhaps, Emma or Norman?" She asked but Y/n tilted her head to the side, confused.
"No? Did something happen, Mama?"
Isabella pushed a strand behind Y/n's ear before caressing it lightly before she smiled at the confused girl. "Someone went to the gate when Conny was taken to meet her new family and I don't have a clue who it is. Do you know anything, Y/n?"
Y/n blinked at her, "no, not really. Emma has been acting weird but that's because I read her the scariest book I read at the library and Norman has been acting weird around me ever since I went to look for him after our discussion about Ray...." she trailed off, her cheeks flush a light red at the mention of Norman as Isabella laughed.
"It's only normal, I'm sure you feel happy inside, don't you?"
"Hm! It's a weird feeling but I....I like it!"
Isabella only sighed at this before standing up straight, Y/n looked at her with a smile. "I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, Mama!"
"You're probably right, Y/n. Now, let's get you to bed." She gestured her hand, telling her to hand over the baby to her and she did.
"Good night, mama."
"Good night, Y/n. Sweet dreams."
